Chewmann Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 I am not able to change the loaded armaments on my Kiowa sitting at a FARP. Once you jump in the mission you have 4 hellfires. I've tried to change the loadout then after that didn't work I tried to unload the AGMs first just to get them off, but that didn't work either. Any idea?

Any idea? Is there an ammo truck present at the FARP? I'm asking because there need to be one and you need to be close to it in order to be able to rearm at a FARP. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
AhSoul Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 (edited) As QuiGon says you need a bunch of vehicles/buildings at a FARP to be able to rearm, refuel, communicate with it over radio etc. There's also a max distance they can be from your aircraft. Chewmann Posted July 22, 2024 Author Posted July 22, 2024 thanks for the feedback. I do not have anything other than the FARP at this time. I'll add trucks and see if it resolved my issue. Thanks

This thread gives a BLUFOR FARP example and links to the relevant DCS Manual/pages and/or Hoggit World list of FARP vehicles. Chewmann Posted July 25, 2024 Author Posted July 25, 2024 I've tried everything I can think of to get the rearm/refuel to work. I have an invisible FARP, a HMMWV (for comms), a M939 (for rearm), a M978 (for refuel), FARP ammo dumps, FARP fuel dump, and other items I think that might help but no luck. I notice when I say to rearm, I don't hear the "copy" response.

I did not find an issue when testing in Single Player - perhaps you've used support vehicles from the "static" tab instead of from the "ground units" tab ? Attached is a simple FARP example with a cold start Kiowa that requires rearming/refuelling before take off. Tested using DCS 2.9.6.58056 OH-58D Road FARP test.miz Edited July 30, 2024 by Ramsay i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440
Chewmann Posted July 31, 2024 Author Posted July 31, 2024 Turns out, one of the units I had "in" the FARP I created was a red coalition unit accidentally. Once I FINALLY figured that out, it now works as advertised. 1
