ARCTIK Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 Whenever F-16 is cycled between A/G and A/A Master modes - A/A reverts to RWS, and A/G reverts to Azimuth A3 (despite preferences, previous selections and/or DTC programming).
falconzx Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 i can confirm this, another report was made about different master modes but this now happen also with NAV. For example i was used to leave GM (Ground Mapping) in NAV especially in night operations, then i configure my A/A mastermode preselecting TWS and setting the Azimuth. It was used to retain all of this in background. At the current patch it's all useless because of this wiping back to RWS on every master mode change.
TobiasA Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 As of 2.9.6 it remembers some scan settings, but still not TWS / RWS.
falconzx Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 I Confirm. And still not the AG modes like GM or GMT also.
TKNARMZ Posted July 25, 2024 Posted July 25, 2024 I usually set up my F16 in TWS mode. When selecting Dogfight, then switching back to Missiles. It resets all my settings back to RWS. This didn't use to happen at all, it used to keep my settings. bop1701 Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 Same here - also when jettisoning tanks, and some MFD buttons do it also. Great way to let someone know you've got em locked when it switches to RWS for no reason.... 2

TobiasA Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 (edited) There are some threads about this, so I guess one doesn't need a track. Edited August 9, 2024 by TobiasA Typo. Threads, not threats 1
Arnaud Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Hi everyone, going back to DCS after a long hiatus of 8 months and noticing an annoying change in the Viper. Before take off I was used to set my FCR tracking mode to TWS in both Nav and A-A mode. But now it seems that changing mode revert always to RWS no matter what. It's a unnecessary work load when fighting In PvP. So, is it a bug or a feature ? Greetings. 1
Nedum Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 (edited) Hi, it's a known bug and already reported. As soon as you change the MFD settings, the FCR will switch to RWS not matter if you are in NAVI or AA Mode. Nearly every MFD change will do that. Arnaud Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Thank's Nedum for your answer. Strangely this bug seems quite old, I thought it would've been dealt with already. 2

gregecslo Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 (edited) Hi. 1. Set radar to TWS 2. On right DDI go to SMS and click S-J 3. Click S-J again and radar switches to RWS Is this normal? Edited October 3, 2024 by gregecslo
Gilligan Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 (edited) It's "normal" at this point but it is not working as intended. This bug has been "on their radar" for a while now, however no fix is forthcoming so far as I can tell. Edited October 3, 2024 by Gilligan
