Whenever F-16 is cycled between A/G and A/A Master modes - A/A reverts to RWS, and A/G reverts to Azimuth A3 (despite preferences, previous selections and/or DTC programming).

i can confirm this, another report was made about different master modes but this now happen also with NAV.

For example i was used to leave GM (Ground Mapping) in NAV especially in night operations, then i configure my A/A mastermode preselecting TWS and setting the Azimuth. It was used to retain all of this in background.

At the current patch it's all useless because of this wiping back to RWS on every master mode change.

I usually set up my F16 in TWS mode.  When selecting Dogfight, then switching back to Missiles.  It resets all my settings back to RWS.  This didn't use to happen at all, it used to keep my settings.

Same here - also when jettisoning tanks, and some MFD buttons do it also.  Great way to let someone know you've got em locked when it switches to RWS for no reason....

There are some threads about this, so I guess one doesn't need a track.

Hi everyone,

going back to DCS after a long hiatus of 8 months and noticing an annoying change in the Viper.

Before take off I was used to set my FCR tracking mode to TWS in both Nav and A-A mode.

But now it seems that changing mode revert always to RWS no matter what. It's a unnecessary work load when fighting In PvP.

So, is it a bug or a feature ?

Greetings.

Hi, it's a known bug and already reported. As soon as you change the MFD settings, the FCR will switch to RWS not matter if you are in NAVI or AA Mode. Nearly every MFD change will do that.

Hi.

1. Set radar to TWS

2. On right DDI go to SMS and click S-J

3. Click S-J again and radar switches to RWS

Is this normal?

It's "normal" at this point but it is not working as intended. This bug has been "on their radar" for a while now, however no fix is forthcoming so far as I can tell.
