bonesvf103 Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 In the stock instant action Case I Caucasus mission, when you call the Forrestal, they no longer respond with your case I recovery instructions but rather with a divert order. Thus when you trap, you get no LSO or landing grade. v6, boNes "Also, I would prefer a back seater over the extra gas any day. Can you be more specific? There are currently problems with many ATCs due to DCS bug - not recognizing and logging take offs and landings, so you stay in the mode you started the mission in. bonesvf103 Posted August 11, 2024 Author Posted August 11, 2024 (edited) Specifically, when you call inbound and Marshall responds for example "101, mother's weather is visibility 10 plus miles, sky clear, altimeter 29.88, case I recovery, expected BRC 035, report see me at 10." Instead you get, "101, go to alternate." I think I've actually see this happen in stock IA missions for the Hornet too. Maybe it's just an ED thing. v6, boNes Edited August 12, 2024 by bonesvf103 "Also, I would prefer a back seater over the extra gas any day. Nealius Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 (edited) Are you using VAICOM, perchance? There's an issue where if you don't specifically call in "marking mom's" and instead do "inbound," VAICOM will fire the shore-based comms instead of the carrier comms, which causes the supercarrier to respond with a shore-based reply like "go to alternate." Nealius Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 I may have gotten it once or twice. Usually if VAICOM fires the shore-based comms I get a "fly heading blahblah blah" for the carrier.
