Rene Coulon Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 (edited) I have a home system when 2 players can play in MP on a closed system. The mission I have made have been super smooth in 2.8. After the last updates the stuttering and multiple freezes make the missions unplayable. Nothing has changed on my side, Gone from a steady 120 FPS in 2D to 30 /70 FPS The second player is glitchy as heck. My SPECS, Intel i7 8700k, 64 GB RAM, GTX 2080ti game on m.2 drive. dcs.log dcs.log.old debrief.log Prior to the update...at the same place in this mission...these lines were both almost smooth, the change is just riduculous 20240814_144606[1].mp4 Edited August 14, 2024 by Rene Coulon additional video 1 Asus ROG MAXIMUS X Formula Intel i7- 8700K 4.8ghz Asus GTX 2080ti OC edition 64 Gb RAM at 3200mhz Kraken X 72 cooler Samsung CHG90 monitor at 144 htz DCS on M.2 drive 500 Gb
The_Nephilim Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 (edited) Hello, do you use any mods for the game?? Try disabling them and run clean and slow repair.. I would delete FXO and metashaders folders. also do you use process lasso it looks like some cores are disabled or similar: 2024-08-14 09:30:46.651 WARNING EDCORE (Main): logical core 7 is not available for this process 2024-08-14 09:30:46.651 WARNING EDCORE (Main): logical core 8 is not available for this process 2024-08-14 09:30:46.651 WARNING EDCORE (Main): logical core 9 is not available for this process 2024-08-14 09:30:46.651 WARNING EDCORE (Main): logical core 10 is not available for this process 2024-08-14 09:30:46.651 WARNING EDCORE (Main): logical core 11 is not available for this process Edited August 15, 2024 by The_Nephilim Intel Ultra 265K 5.5GHZ / Gigabyte Z890 Aorus Elite / MSI 4070Ti Ventus 12GB / SoundBlaster Z SoundCard / Corsair Vengance 64GB Ram / HP Reverb G2 / Samsung 980 Pro 2TB Games / Crucial 512GB M.2 Win 11 Pro 21H2 / ButtKicker Gamer / CoolerMaster TD500 Mesh V2 PC Case
Rene Coulon Posted August 15, 2024 Author Posted August 15, 2024 Hi, I dont have any Mods, I have deleted FXO and Metashaders, I do run Lasso. Whats super annoying is how we have to do deep dives into our systems, just to recover lost performance, after Avery Update, really killing the Sim for many people. How do I make sure those cores are available for this process ? 2 Asus ROG MAXIMUS X Formula Intel i7- 8700K 4.8ghz Asus GTX 2080ti OC edition 64 Gb RAM at 3200mhz Kraken X 72 cooler Samsung CHG90 monitor at 144 htz DCS on M.2 drive 500 Gb
PawlaczGMD Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 I also experience some stutter after the last update. It is interestingly not happening in the cockpit, but in the menus, and when using external views. This is new.
Bingo911 Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 New stutters. Sinai and Syria are especially bad. 1
RoXzz84 Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 (edited) The stuttering is really bad for me as well, i can't seem to have an enjoyable experience with DCS since the last few updates even with my specs - 13900KF, 64gb Rams, 4090, 2TB M.2. Hopefully it's resolve soon, BUZZ KILL... Edited August 16, 2024 by RoXzz84 2 1

I figured it out, Thanx, made so dissernable difference unfortunately. What is confusing me, is that on a stress test mission...I have lots of AI Planes flying, seems ok, but on another mission, same map...with a lot fewer AI airborne, the stuttering is really bad. Looks like either a particular unit, or a combination of ground units might be the problem...will keep digging today Asus ROG MAXIMUS X Formula Intel i7- 8700K 4.8ghz Asus GTX 2080ti OC edition 64 Gb RAM at 3200mhz Kraken X 72 cooler Samsung CHG90 monitor at 144 htz DCS on M.2 drive 500 Gb

I also have the same feeling as you, but so far I have not been able to discern which specific unit or static makes the difference Edit: BTW, I did read somewhere on the forum a couple of weeks ago that the door gunner hook script for the OH6A was causing problems, and deleting it was a huge improvement (the problem persists, but it did make a difference). CaptHawk Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 I have this issue on a dedicated server, but the same mission does fine if I host it multiplayer through the M.E. on my gaming computer. Also using project lasso on the dedicated, no cores disabled... So I'm still looking over the server machine, thinking a re install or long repair is in order. The server machine worked fine before the update also. 223rd Brian Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 Mine was caused by streamdeck running in the background. stuttering happened if dcsexport was disabled, but streamdeck was running. streamdeck profile still runs a dcsinterface.exe that was causing the issue. hope this helps, I love you 1

Interesting. Thanks for letting us know. Can you use process lasso to isolate stream deck and DCS interface.exe from DCS to see if that helps? I don’t use stream deck myself so don’t believe this is why I’m seeing the cpu pegged at the load screen, but anything that helps is good to know. 2 hours ago, 223rd Brian said: hope this helps, I love you Thanks. Love you too.

I think its pointing to TEMPLATES, but will try and isolate this theory properly. I can place for example 30 Bofors guns no big change, but when I put down 3 Templates or less...made using the ME so say 1 Bofor, 3 soldiers and a jeep, stuttering starts. I just want to confirm this more... The number of ground units iin ST that my system could cope with was around 1200 with 30 Aircraft airborne, that dropped to around 750 with MT, then crashed again after the last update to just 350 or so. 223rd Brian Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Double update. I found streamdeck was causing issues because my usb power settings reset in windows; because magic disabled power saving and stutters completely resolved even when running streamdeck, upping graphics settings, and other programs. Hope this helps, I love you 1
