The SOI goes to the WPN maverick without having to do it

When I am using the radar with targets of opportunity in SP (snowplow mode), when I enable the radar cursor with TMS UP, so that it begins to slide, the SOI jumps to the right MFD where I have the Maverick's WPN screen and I have not yet selected no objective so I have to change the SOI again manually and thus be able to select it. This should be corrected. The SOI should only change if I make the target selection, or at least that's how I understand it.

I send you a Track as an example.

which Maverick, otherwise set the TGP from MAN to AUTO

I saw your track and hmm.

if you only want to leave SP then TMS Down should be enough otherwise it means for our version

basically, if FCR GM is SOI and you press TMS UP>>

FCR GM tracking state = the SOI changes to WPN/MAVERICK.
However, your FCR is not in tracking state after TMS UP, but the SOI still changes.

I don't want to leave SP mode, I think you haven't understood it, what I want is to enable the cursors in SP mode within GM. If you do TMS DOWN you exit SP mode and go to WP (waypoint) tracking mode.

I already knew this, but let me tell you that with the first press of TMS UP the cursor is enabled to slide and with the second press of TMS UP what you say here happens (obviously the second press, once the cursor is enabled, is to select the target and the SOI changes to WPN as normal).

This is what should not happen, LET THE SOI CHANGE!, it should only ENABLE THE CURSOR and nothing else.

Hey @Silver_

Although I can understand your personal preference to be that the FCR resumes the SP logic after TMS up (sounds reasonable to me too), if the Maverick WPN page is selected, the current logic does set the WPN page as SOI to track SPI after an initial TMS up.

If you feel this is not working according to the actual F-16C Block 50 CCIP logics, please provide publicly available non-classified documentation to @BIGNEWYand we will certainly review it if it needs correction.

in principle, but only if the FCR goes into the tracking state, in his example he is not yet in the tracking state only with the 2 TMS UP he would be in the tracking state and thus SOI to WPN page

This is not my personal preference, it is perfectly explained in the USAF HANDBOOK regarding the F16, you can consult it. Anyway, I think they have a hard time understanding me. I know the current logic is a bit silly and passes the SOI to the second MFD (with WPN selected) as soon as you first press TMS UP on the radar screen. What you would do is enable cursor mobility, then we would search for the target (now that the cursors are moving) and a second press of TMS UP (once the target is located/selected) would do what you say, pass the SOI to the second MFD (with WPN).

Not exactly because you, on the second MFD, do not have the WPN screen on it (you have the HSD). (the SOI must be on the first MFD, the radar, with SP activated)

I have deliberately not opened the wpn page to demonstrate this.

If that doesn't change soi.

Is it then basically correct?

Hey @Silver_

No need to explain, I had already said it sounded logic to me too.

But please understand we cannot make changes without proper documentation. That documented support was found and I have reported this internally.

Thanks for your patience.
