Mad44 Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 Hello; I'm currently doing the “First In - Weasels over Syria” campaign and on mission 5 I had a problem with the AN/ALQ 184 ECM pod: the ECM power transmission control buttons are still in Stanby “S” mode. I do what Chuck's Guide does, but it doesn't work. To be sure, I tried the training mission and it was the same problem. Has anyone noticed the same thing?
_Hoss Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 Well, there should be an Off/STBY/REC/RPT...or.... RX/TX? If so, turn it to REC/RX after take off, at Fence In, put it in RPT/TX once out of the A.O. back to REC. Sempre Fortis
Nealius Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 (edited) A few updates ago the way the jammer works changed and I haven't figured it out myself. Sometimes I can get it on and sometimes I can't. Previously it would work with the switch in any position 1-3 and CMDS knob in MAN, but now it seems to only work in SEMI or AUTO modes. I'm probably describing it poorly as I can't recall the switch names; my spatial memory focuses on where they are not what they're called Edited August 25, 2024 by Nealius

And CMD aft to beging the sequency. That doesn't work
Mad44 Posted August 25, 2024 Author Posted August 25, 2024 ok: my bad: i thank after but i pressed forward...donkey
skywalker22 Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 ECM works like they used to work - all three types works fine. No changes what so ever.
Nealius Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 (edited) False. Back in February XMIT 1 and 2 worked in MAN mode. Now they do not. They only work in SEMI and AUTO. That's what changed. Edited August 25, 2024 by Nealius
Solution RavenFrost Posted August 25, 2024 Solution Posted August 25, 2024 (edited) XMIT 1 and 2 never worked in MAN Mode, they only work in SEMI or AUTO. XMIT 3 is an Noisebarage and only workes in MAN. Edited August 25, 2024 by RavenFrost [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Nealius Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 Don't know what to say other than during the winter period when I was exclusively flying the Viper, I messed with XMIT 1 and 2 in MAN mode to see what they did and they came on just as XMIT 3 did. But feel free to continue gaslighting me into thinking I'm imagining that experience.
