HoneyBadger Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 I'm going to be doing a reinstall of Windows and I want to backup my control binds. I don't want to tediously save a profile for every controller per aircraft so is there a faster way to do this?
Creampie Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 I think there is a configs file in saved games... idk When I did a fresh install I just saved them all individually and properly labeled them. Made for a no confusion rebind. 11 minutes ago, HoneyBadger said: I'm going to be doing a reinstall of Windows and I want to backup my control binds. razo+r Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 (edited) Copy your dcs folder which is in the saved games directory. Edited September 27, 2024 by razo+r 1
Hiob Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 Copying the savegames folder is indeed the easiest and fastest way to make a backup of all DCS settings. However. With a fresh windows install, your usb devices will most likely have assigned differend IDs by windows. The controls setups are bound to a certain device ID, so in order to make them work again, you need to rename the config files to the new IDs then.
