It's WW Orion 2. I have no other issues with it, and looking at the input in WW software, it's also all good. All other modules are good. It's just A/P on a few that's wonky.
PS: my unconfirmed theory on this is that a lot of hardware has a default deadzone, so most people have a deadzone even if it's not enabled in-game, but rather on firmware level. With WW, you can set it to be actually 0 in the app, which I did.
I not saying there is something wrong with it. Seems to be some peculiarity with how DCS interprets it. I did turn on the Controls Indicator in your track. Quite often it's not completely centered. And like I wrote, you're supposed to be able to move it without the AP turning off, and I can with one of the cheapest sticks on the market. No deadzones at all. Do you have any curves or saturation settings?

Yes, I know it is not completely centered without the deadzone, it doesn't mechanically center perfectly to 32768/65536, which is 16 bit resolution. This would be fine with me other then the A/P glitching.

I just have curve = 10 on pitch and roll, and no other effects or saturation.

You made me think that I am using joystick gremlin to control the mouse with my joystick ministick - I will check if switching this off does anything.

Edit: ^ this wasn't it.

Mine is also a winwing F-16 stick. No matter if I set custom curves with deadzones, or the new special option curve, the AP has zero effect. I'll try to record a track.

EDIT here you go. Special options disabled, curves set to a deadzone of 12! Zero reaction to the AP switches...

Interesting. For me, 3-4 degrees DZ is sufficient to make it work.

Is your WW the force-sensing stick, or a regular one? (I have the regular spring-based base). Do you have similar issues on the Hornet, if you have that module?

Tested your track. It's really weird behavior. Even I took over the control. It wouldn't work for me. Completely different from @PawlaczGMD's track.

Could you test the track I post now? If that one work, (Free Flight - Caucasus), there has to be some setting in the mission or some binding/switch that is not set correctly.

The track works, then I take control and it doesn't. My track is from a vanilla mission over an empty map

That doesn't make any sense. I don't have any ideas. Clearly the AP is engaded, and then it doesn't do anything. I have no idea why.

Only thing I can think of - is your paddle switch bound incorrectly, so it is depressed all the time?

Winner winner chicken dinner! 🙂

Excellent idea, and you're right! On the winwing stick and throttle, the 2 positions of a switch count as 2 separate buttons, which is great. But when assigning the controls I released the paddle switch too soon it seems so the released state counted as 'depressed' in game.

Many thanks for the help!

So that's solved now? Excellent! Just funny that it carried over when I took over the track. 😉
