Since I started playing I've seen a bit of frustration here & there due to "bugs" or "problems". I've had a minor share too.

It most cases it's in the eye of the beholder, not so much any true "showstoppers".

(Note; I don't want to invite to a Copyprotection debate - please refraing from such) ;)

 

In perspective I've come to realize one thing. Since my first babysteps in the Ka-50 I've seen people patiently sitting around waiting for 1.0.1.

 

This game is near "bugfree" if you compare it to other releases out on the market today. Of course, there are features lacking, minor issues with some of the 1,100,000 computer configurations out there. But "major bugs"?

QA have done their job! :)

 

I'd like to grant ED +10 kudos for daring to wait and release a almost "complete" package in v.1.0.

There's so many other out there who doesn't dare to do the same because of the pressure form the market, economic factors or owners who want to see return of interests :)

 

Thanks ED - and we WILL patiantly wait for you to ensure that the quality in patch 1.0.1 reaches the same standard as in the first release. :thumbup:

Let's see some verbal "aye, but ..", "yes, and also .." or "I'd rather have ..." inputs too, maybe not everyone agrees with us - they dont have to. :thumbup:

Consider this my officiall "aye, but ..", "yes, and also .." or "I'd rather have ..." input..! Allthough truth be told I have to agree with 'ya mate..!

 

Most of the "bugs" described by my fellow users, as far as instrumentation or weapons system and/or stuff like that goes, I don't even understand..? I'm guessing they are 100% correct, but I've been living in my little pitbuilding bubble for so long now... I haven't got the foggiest idea how to shoot anything yet, but I'll wave my DSC Banner proud and sing theyr praise for doing a good job..!

 

(How come we can't rep them anyway..?)

 

Ps. In retrospect I see that I should have just written "I AGREE..!"

...but where's the fun in that..?

The game is playable in the state it's in right now, as I have had no problems with it *touches wooden table*...

So the patch is an update on an already stable game.

I'll give my +10 here also. I haven't had a sim grab me by the cajones like Falcon 4, Longbow 2, Janes F-15, Janes F-18, EECH, Allied Force and LOMAC did back in the day. I can't wait for my shoulder to heal so I can jump back in the cockpit and get Griff and I to LAN again in Black Shark. Should be about the time the patch comes out, which in truth, is not needed to enjoy Black Shark in all it's glory. Black shark got me to plunk down almost $4G's on a new computer and about $600 on a new intercom system for more realistic comms during LAN meets. I am hooked, line and sinker on DCS.
