Livers Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 At mission start, vehicles in a column group start smoothly and advance to a waypoint. If then given a 2nd waypoint and speed, they go into what I call Slinky mode, where it takes quite a while for all units to reach the desired speed and tighten up the group. Not shown in the track, is when given an echelon right or left formation they do not exhibit the slinkyness action. Why the disparity? Using the Abrams here as an example. ED Team NineLine Posted November 2, 2022 ED Team Posted November 2, 2022 I apologize, can you make me a new track, it seems the update broke this one, the tanks never move. I am pretty sure I know what you mean but would like to see it to make sure. Please and thank you. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
Livers Posted November 3, 2022 Author Posted November 3, 2022 Not a problem, latest 2.8 Beta. In this one I conclude with an echelon left to demonstrate the difference better. Abrams_column_movement.trk 1

ED Team NineLine Posted November 9, 2023 ED Team Posted November 9, 2023 You track still played back weird, but I was able to reproduce what you were saying in the OP I am pretty sure. Units are much more responsive off road (or in formation) than when on an on-road path. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

Livers Posted October 31, 2024 Author Posted October 31, 2024 No, it's not fixed - if I understand the above from the Change Log. Drag_Race.trk 1
ED Team NineLine Posted November 4, 2024 ED Team Posted November 4, 2024 No, that changelog note was about a ground group was set to be moving at mission start would take up to 20 seconds to start moving. 1 Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
Livers Posted November 5, 2024 Author Posted November 5, 2024 Ok, I was hoping for a fix to this: Its been over two years. I'll continue to wait. Thanks for the response. 1
MarkMD Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 CA has some really big issues, but I hope I can help you understand what is going on. When moving vehicles around the map, they are tethered by a string, it will stretch but other vehicles will stop until the string returns to normal. This is why your vehicles seem to bork around the map. I’ve found that you can limit the speed of the vehicles below 20 to get through towns and villages. If you have a particular dense town, make the vehicles go slower, alternatively you can avoid the towns altogether. I know this is a lot of work, but if you want your vehicles to get where they are to go, then doing this is the price to pay. Note, don’t bother trying to make your vehicles drive a perfect route, they will try and make it, but they will always have a mind of their own when driving around other vehicles, trees and buildings. Happy hunting. Mike-Delta
