You have to create a copy of the livery you want to use, and then add at the end of its description.lua the arguments you want to set for the aircraft, like this:

 

 

Then on the mission editor you use this livery for the static aircraft that you want to place ... I dont know if using this type of livery makes sense on a player controlled aircraft, I have only used it on background aircraft:

 

 

Once the mission starts, it looks like this:

when i click your link to the canopy open i get this message, is this going to mess up my HP Reverb g2 as i dont want to upgrade my windows 11 as it will kill the reverb

... dont click the link and just modify the skin yourself with the information I provided on my prior posts.

Just be careful doing this lua trick for the canopy if you're going to use that skin for air starts. Otherwise this happens:

Doing this i have a problem. When i enter a Hornet as player every argument is ON, not only static planes, so all is visible even with the plane started

Haha blimey. Id be doing it to a static aircraft. Can i ask why you would have it open for air starts? Or am i reading this wrong lol

I was testing it to see if it would be a viable option to include in my own liveries. It wasn't.
