Wow,that would be excellent. I actually WANT to get the KOLA map..In fact,I had KOLA in my cart earlier this week,but when I went back to purchase it,the price mysteriously went up 10% from the original sale price....

Kola is a great map, and I used it to test the feasability of porting missions from one map onto another, for example this is a Viggen mission that I did for Nevada:

 

 

and this is the exact same mission, ported to Kola:

 

 

  ... and of course the Viggen feels much more at home in Kola than in Nevada

Thanks a lot for your kind words. I've added another mission to this pack: M05 VFR Landings. Details on the 1st post of the thread.

Next I intend to do a Mission about the Radar employment.

the file is in OvGME format, and places both the missions and the RSBN mod for Sinai map on the Mig-21 folder of the DCS program folder. Be sure to employ a mod manager, since the RSBN mod is not IC compatible, so you may need to disable it before going to a multiplayer server.

 

Hello all,

On yesterday's DCS patch, the MiG-21 was updated with RSBN & ARC stations for both Sinai and Kola maps, so the User Mod mentioned above is no longer needed to run Mission M03 - ARC & RSBN Navigation. I'm now updating the file at User Files so that it does not include the aforementioned Mod. If you had it installed, the DCS patch should have replaced the Mod files and there are no duplicates so no action on your part is needed.

It can certainly be done, but I’d like to first finish a complete set on Sinai before attempting to port them to Kola.
 

Also, I’ve begun an additional project: update my T-45 missions in anticipation of a new release of the T-45 mod that it’s being developed, so my free time is somewhat scarce at this point in time.

Excellent. I may get the Sinai map on the current sale anyway....but Kola looks great for the MIG 21 and of course the Viggen. Thanks!

Hello Rudel,

Thank you for these missions. I have learned quite a bit more about the MiG-21 than I expected and remebered from before. Hopefully you keep making these quality training missions.

yes, I am honored that the mod developer asked me to participate on this project  so it was a good reason to pause my mig-21 project... but I will return to it as soon as the new version of the T-45 gets released

Great to know that you will be back to continue the MIG 21 training series. I am also looking forward to being able to use Kola for the series eventually.
