Orion 2 Joystick centering

I have the Orion 2 joystick base (with F16 grip) and I noticed that the centering (as viewed in SimApp Pro) is not quite accurate: The absolute center has the value of 32768, but the centering is off by about 50-100 units or so, and it actually fluctuates: The reading might be, say, 32650, and after making some inputs and letting the stick center again, it might center to 32700. I have updated the firmware and calibrated the axes. I don't use deadzones.

The effect on gameplay is negligible, and the stick feels completely smooth. Still, I'm curious if others have similar "issues", or do your sticks center perfectly even with deadzone set to zero?

Best regards,
Joonas

It might just stick a little in center position, bit of electrical interference/distortion, quality difference in electrical parts/magnets

With a value of positive or negative 100 in 32768, You are talking about a +/- 0.21% deviation

I would not be to sure if my issue is related to that of the open post here.

I have the orion 2 base and f16 stick too. Recently I have been experiencing a roll to the right and sometimes left in all the aircraft I play.
I recalibrate but to no avail. I have resort to using trimming right /left to correct this incorrect roll tendency.

I will have a look at the centering in simappp pro

No such issue for me, it's centering to the same number each time:

Maybe take it apart from housing and check if some bolt tightening board/sensor/cam loosened?

I had that issue a while back.  It was a mechanical issue, I believe it was due to the screw holding the cam-center bearing.  My apologies, as I don’t recall what it was exactly.

The stick is capable of being quite accurate, and it should return the same center value on the software repeatedly without variation (which is pretty amazing).   If it’s not, make sure the mechanical aspects are all tightened down before suspecting an electronic issue.
