If I launch using DCS.exe from the \bin_mt\ directory it works... hmmmm

i would also suggest a repair. dcs_mt_manifest should be in all the folders concerning terrains.

That shortcut you’re using to launch the game with looks a bit suspect. It has params in it to specify the manifest file, which is exactly the error you’re getting. May explain why it works when you run it directly without using that shortcut.

Where did that shortcut come from? Delete all the params from the end of it (force_OpenXR is redundant as the game only uses OpenXR). You can keep the force_enable_VR one if you have one for vr and one without (although with the new launcher you can do this anyway).

It is the original dcs.exe installed a couple of years back and I have used nothing but the GUI launcher for some years until this recent error. I simply kept DCS updated. I'll just check to see if there is a new version of the launcher perhaps?

Which GUI launcher is that, the Skatezilla one?

This is the current version infor of teh Launcher and below you can see I have two installs of DCS. The second one {called Experimental} has not been updated for some time and works ok.

Yeah the second one which works is an older version of DCS that does not include the new DCS launcher. When you run the later versions of DCS now you’ll get a launcher which provides a lot (all?) of the config options Skatezilla does (without needing to start the game and can choose to launch in VR or not). The issue here looks to be Skatezilla tool passes some extra params which are not compatible with the new launcher (the manifest params causing your isssue). For the latest DCS version just use the launcher it now comes with (the DCS exe in the bin dir, you can update existing shortcuts to point to this).

@Zapper3535 Hi, if you start the game with Skatezilla's launcher, you need to turn off Multithreading or DCS crashes on start. That's your issue.

Cheers!
