Hello guys!

I've just come back to DCS after finally getting myself a new PC. And now comes all the wonderful times of re-setting up everything!

So basically... I want to use the little slider on the throttle that sits near the middle finger as the zoom function. But the middle 'detent' of the slider (which is what I want my 'default' view to be), I find is a bit too zoomed in for my OCD liking.

Is there a way to change the value of the axis in the Virpil software so that it sits further back zoom-wise when the physical slider is in its natural middle position?

I hope that makes a modicum of sense...

No but, you could adjust the default view for the aircraft so it's not so zoomed in?

SURE YOU CAN. Just define it's axis as a slider type (asymmetric), and use curvatures and saturations to set it to Your liking.

Though this is an example for a rudder, but axis=axis and VPC software works on all their products

Thanks for the suggestions guys!

Unfortunately tried that, but it doesn't save - as soon as you move the slider, it's right back to being too close again.

Thank you for the suggestion. Not sure it works for this weird little slider - it didn't seem to affect the centre at all. Thanks for trying though!

This did the trick  set to about -13 curvature and it's exactly where I need it to be. Didn't realise you could do that! Thank you!

You can also follow the method suggested by Speed-of-Heat. After adjusting the angles and zoom for the snap view assigned to the Num5 key, simply press RAlt+Num0 to save the new settings.
