jda8818 Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Purchased the DCS F5-E less than six months ago. My in-game Module Manager shows the upgrade price to be $9.99, but by clicking on the 'Buy' button I'm sent back to the generic availability option of $59.99. What is the actual price? I'm certainly ready to pay the $9.99, for the upgraded module. But an additional $59.99 for the upgrade? And when the $9.99 price is quoted in my module manager? What is going on? I'm not ready to believe you guys are working a bait-and-switch ... jda8818
MiG21bisFishbedL Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 I paid $10 for it. Make sure you're logged in on the website. 1 Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!

If you do its 9.99, if you do not own the F-5E at all you must be the full version which now includes the improved model. jda8818 Posted December 4, 2024 Author Posted December 4, 2024 I own the original F-5E. I purchased it earlier this year, within the last six months or so. When clicking on 'Buy' in the module manager (at the quoted $9.99 price) I'm redirected to a purchase page where this price is shown to be $59.99. I added it to my cart and continued, but the price remained $59.99. At that point I deleted the item and typed up my message. Thank you for the reply and the affirmation of the actual price. Now I guess I need to ask you how to obtain the quoted discounted price of $9.99. Thank you in advance once again, jda8818

jda8818 Posted December 4, 2024 Author Posted December 4, 2024 (edited) I'm logged in as a player to the game, which is where the option under the "Special Offers" tab appears at a price of 9.99. I'm also logged in to the forum which I believe is necessary for me to post messages and replies. Maybe: My game username is jda, but my forum username is jda8818. Is it possible that this is causing a problem? I'd be suprised to discover I'm the first to be set up in this way but ??? jda8818 Edited December 4, 2024 by jda8818 spelling
jda8818 Posted December 4, 2024 Author Posted December 4, 2024 OK, I think I need to login to the DCS website with my game ID and password. I must have surmised that if I was logged in at a sufficient level to play the game I would be logged in at a sufficient level to spend money. It's worked in the past, that's for sure. But maybe not for special offers. jda8818
jda8818 Posted December 4, 2024 Author Posted December 4, 2024 Success. Obtained the upgrade price of $9.99 and was able to use my my miles. Thanks to Virgo47 for the solution. And my apologies to everyone else for my confusion. jda8818 3

golani79 Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 For me it is 59.99 although I am logged in and I own the F-5. Not sure though but I think I got the F-5 as a prize from a competition from ED - still owning it though. >> DCS liveries by golani79 <<
