arraamis Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 I've gotta let ED and all the rest of you know that: THERE IS NO PROTECTION SYSTEM THAT WORKS NOW OR EVER WILL. Case in point: Silent Hunter III was just released {03.15.05} with the latest Starforce {STARFAKE as it should be called} version of protection ......... IT IS CRACKED AND FLOATING AROUND THE WWW NOW!!!!!!! The only people reporting problems with the so-called protection scheme are the one's who actually brought it. Paying customers = Headachs Illegal users = No Problems So, to ED and other publishers who spend thousands on protection schemes ..... Save your money, its NOT WORKING.
kdittyr Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Ummm... they have already gotten rid of the Starforce protection scheme. Not sure what they are going to use, but what you hav said is OLD news. __________________ kdittyr

I had previously thought copy protection was unimportant. Now I see there is a quantifiable measure of its value. -SK

Guest ruggbutt Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 What are ya'll gonna argue about after you beat this horse to death?
DayGlow Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 I'm so glad you decided to start a new thread about this since you already made the same post in the other StarForce thread. To show that you are really serious you should try double or triple posting this. I am sure, government wants to know that as well! If we get togather, and report hackers who crack Lock On, we will do a big favor to us first! GGTharos Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 That's a pretty bad idea, and the reasons should be PAINFULLY obvious. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Guest ruggbutt Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 That's a pretty bad idea, and the reasons should be PAINFULLY obvious. Unfortunately to some (not mentioning names) it's not.
