I'm on mission 10 of Raven One.  It starts with a queue of about 10 jets that need to take off before you.  I had attempted the mission several times before the Dec 4th update, so I know it was working.
After the update, now when I start the mission, there is a message about saluting on screen.  Salute before startup, salute after startup.  The queue of jets stalls out on the 5th jet, it starts to taxi, then stops well short of its catapult.

If I turn off all the super-carrier crew options and restart the mission, the queue works.  But when I ask to remove the wheel chocks, it comes back with a message "Unable to comply, air supply not connected" or something similar to that.  The wheel chocks never get removed, and the mission is dead in the water.

For the wheel chocks issue, when you salute, the wheel chocks will come off automatically.  However, do not taxi too fast because then they will come back on automatically and I don't know how to get them to take them off again then.  If you disable the deck crew in the settings you won't have this problem.

My problem is if I give radio checks and my AI wingy (in this case, Psycho) taxies before me, she stops and then I never get the flight directors to give me the go ahead to taxi because she's in the way or in the queue.  I tried taxiing to the cat via the flight directors so as to get to the cat before her and not get held up, but as soon as I was hooked up to the cat and got the runup signal, I then did the radio checks with her so she can start taxiing and she never did move.  SO the mission cannot go on unless you fly without a wingman.

Also, there is some bug with the taxi directors that was internally resolved and should come out with the next patch. I tested all the missions with taxi directors several times and ran into some ocassional hiccups but in 1 run out of 5 or six if at all, so I guess we need to wait for the taxi directors to get polished a bit. I'll have a look though now after the update is out.

Take note of the process to follow to prevent the deck crew messing about

  1. Turn on the battery and APU then Salute just once from Ground Crew menu and listen for radio comms and frequency changes.
  2. Once the deck crew responds visually, continue with normal start-up and alignment. DO NOT salute again until the last 2 aircraft on the deck are in the catapults.
  3. Once those 2 aircraft start to launch (+-15m from mission start), salute again and follow the deck crew instructions.

If you salute too early or try to taxi before the deck is clear the other aircraft will stop moving or block you

NOTE: your wingman will taxi way before you, do not be tempted to move when they do.

Cool.  I figured out thru trial and error that you don't salute the second time until you're ready to taxi.  I guess a more explicit message would have prevented this situation.
