Floyd1212 Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Did you look at your axis binds for the CPG seat and make sure there are no duplicates happening there? 1
MAXsenna Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Are you sure? I'm 99.69% sure not true. I currently use Virpil Rotor collective and I've used both TM Warthog and TWCS throttles as a collective before, in all cases the input was normal axis, not a slider and it registered just fine in full physical range. There was no physical/virtual axes disconnectIt should register the whole axis, while best practise is of course to set all axis that are not sticks or pedals to sliders. Strange things might happen, because if it's not set as a slider, it will go from -50 to 0 to +50,instead of 0 to 100.@dr_hippo what's your George settings? It seems like George screws up your trim. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk I experienced similar issue before, where I was moving from CPG to pilot seat and lost control. What I found out was when you initially move back to pilot seat, CPG controls are retained which is weird, but if you move to CPG again and back to pilot seat immediately, you get pilot assignments back. My issue was that I had duplicate axis assigned to pedals in CPG, which caused loss of control and crash, unless you follow the procedure I described above. In your case its worth checking flight controls assignments for CPG, if this weird issue is causing this. Cheers, 1
ED Team Lord Vader Posted December 11, 2024 ED Team Posted December 11, 2024 @dr_hippo I watched your track and see the issue your describe, of an induced roll on the aircraft cyclic to the left. However, analysing the event, it does seem this is a user input to roll left. I've seen this happening either with unintended axis assignment or actual hardware fault. So, again, follow the steps that users and myself suggested before and let us know if the problem persists. Trying the exact circumstances and actions with my hardware, I had no issues with the aircraft controls on my side. 1 Esquadra 701 - DCS Portugal - Discord

After going in the air I did a trim. Then I did not touch the joystick and I started to move my collective and you can see that there is no movement in the stick. So normal beheveour. Then I went to a hover and moved to the front seat and launched 1 hellfire to kill a truck. Then I moved back to the pilot seat. I start flying again and trimmed the apache in a stable flight forward. From then I did not touch the joystick. From the moment I decrease the collective you can see that the roll movement is following without I touch the joystick. The result is a aggresive roll to the left which result in a crash most of the time. Thanx showcase roll issue.trk 1.53 MB · 1 download Did you try to repair DCS?
dr_hippo Posted December 11, 2024 Author Posted December 11, 2024 Hi All, I finally found and fixed the issue. I would like to thank you all for the suggestions. That pointed me to the issue. So first I did a repair of DCS. The problem was still the after the repair. Then I looked to the binding in the gunner seat. I never mapped something to the collective, roll, pith and rudder for the gunner. Nevertheless it was completely mapped and of course completely wrong. The collective pitch and rudder where mapped 3 times! To my joystick, throttle and rudder pedals. I never looked at it because I never flew the apache from the gunner position. I always switched back to the pilot seat. So I have corrected it and I also changed the tuning from the collective to slider. After that change the is resolved. It is strange that a gunner mapping is influencing the pilot mapping? It was clear the problem was coming from there so I am happy. I finally can land the Apache because it fly`s much more easy now. Again thanx all for the help and pointing me in the good direction. Best regards Dr Hippo 5
