After 250 ktn gear just wait with flaps half until the nose comes down. Same with flaps full. Same with trim up.

- No, flaps/ballooning behavior is not implemented correctly at this point.

How do you know this?

On a whim I made a quick test and flew a normal carrier break pattern on an airfield (Persian Gulf Landing Instant Action Mission), on the Stennis (Caucasus Case I Instant Action Mission) and around the Forrestal. I found that the aircraft behaved much more as expected in these three cases when compared to operating in the vicinity of the Super Carrier.

For me it worked for a long time to extend the gear and deploy half flaps when decelerating through 250 knots and deploy full flaps when on speed.

Funnily, after the last "just campaigns" update, the above described procedure doesn't work as well anymore and I also noticed that the aircraft is much more sensitive to pitch trim inputs.

The FM change was multiple patches ago bro.

I know.... bro... However, the change of behaviour was only noticable to me this week. Last Sunday I could fly the pattern in Bankler's training mission as always, come Thursday the aircraft's reaction to trim and configuration changes changed remarkably, when flying around the super carrier.

Something is definitely wrong, because you should be able to lower gear and flaps right at 250 and have plenty of control authority to maintain level flight then trim onspeed.  I flew both the Hornet and Super Hornet, and neither behaved like the DCS jet does.

Are you having this problem with the Hornet in DCS? I may be missing something, but I'm not seeing any ballooning or control issues dirtying up at 250.

Can the OP, or someone else seeing the same thing, upload a track showing it?

I have to push the stick gradually forward as the speed decreases from 250-190 at which point the nose starts dropping and I need to start trimming for on-speed and bring the throttle a little forward to catch the plane from becoming a brick. But it feels natural to me. The plane doesn't balloon as long as I react accordingly.

Sounds similar to my track above except I don’t think I had to push forward. The nose did rise slightly, then settled back on its own.

I’m just confused by what others are reporting because I’m not seeing it at all.

So, I'm guessing the answer is, No.

Lots of claims but no tangible examples.
