Melv428 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Hello are there any idea´s to make them full fidelity too? are there any 3rd party developers who talked about in the past? would make totally sense like that old M1 Tank Platoon II game or yes i know there is Steel Beasts.. with full fidelity i dont mean maybe a complete 1:1 copy.. more just the internal views of that tank which is also complete VR compatible. just for creativity : 4
razo+r Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Has anyone talked about it? Yeah, a tiny bit I guess. Does it make sense? No, not without a massive overhaul of the core. Would it be nice to have? Sure. 1

Sure. yeah i just meaned that for a "digital combat simulator" it would maybe makes sense to expand into these ways too so i agree nice to have, yes. Its just i totally love such sense for detail and it would make it more immersive 3

Sure. but why a overhaul of the core? i mean whats so different to an plane cockpit? the graphic textures would be total useful in quality for a tank cockpit too.. we have multicrew function, so skipping to driver seat - gunner seat - commander would be also possible or not? the base model is there but yeah im just on the consumer side and really dont know about modeling and coding 4

The AI is neither smart nor realistic. Very limited behaviour and heavily simplified. Maps aren't really made with ground units in mind (terrible pathfinding, getting stuck on bushes, questionable road layouts etc.). Graphics... Well, lots of graphical effects are missing. Interaction between units is also quite limited as of today. You can do a standalone tank at it would function reasonably well. It's just when it comes to the ground war simulation, DCS is simply not anywhere near where it is to the air part (and even that one has big gaps in some areas). 3

draconus Posted January 14 Posted January 14 I support, even simplified as CA currently is, but VR support is a must. It's this single reason I don't play CA much, not ground AI or graphics. 2 Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria

The main ploblem Will be the lack of any support to make a FF vehicle on DCS, no tracks, armour, weapons and System implementes on core (thah require a true vehicle team on ED) and Big changes on maps, featured and funtionality on the DCS Core... 3rd parties has none to do here meanwhile ED dont move there.Enviado desde mi CPH2197 mediante Tapatalk For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF
