VPforce FFB Rhino. FFB set. FFB tune trimmer 100%. X and Y have Y saturation 75%.

Control helper window.
Trim when in a stable hover.

From pilot view to chief engineer view (key 3)
Now from chief engineer view to pilot view (key 1)

Stick is immediately moved HARD right and back (I think it doubles the trimmed values) by the FFB stick,

Reset trim.

Stick neutral is now as the trimmed hover, and will never be back to its normal position in the control helper window.
Track shows the stick neutral position in the control helper window as in trimmed hover.

Track attached.

Added to "Pedals staying forever-trimmed by AI pilot even when "Pedals Trimmer" special option is OFF" problem
using
chief engineer view (key 3) is not usable.

You selected wrong trim mode for FFB stick.

You need 3rd in list.

Hum, trim does not work with 3rd in list. Just tried. But Behavior is the same, stable hoover without trimming, use chief engineer view and back to pilot. Stick neutral but still in trimmed position as before moving to chief engineer view (hover position).

I don't have the Rhino. As I wrote in the other post, try to remove saturation. If you say the stick is trimming in the incorrect axis, you might need to swap axis in the FFB tune settings for the stick.

To have back stick in control helper view in sync with physical position, need to toggle attached AP switch in control panel.

It's not related to saturation, or swap axis.

It's related to move to chief engineer view and leave.

Fair enough. I have no issues, so I have no clue what you're on about. I'm out.
Cheers!

From the gound it's easier to show the problem.
Pilot view key 1
Trim right and aft like in hover. Control helper shows trimmed position. Physical FFB stick follows.
Key 3 Chief Engineer view
Control helper shows stick centered and FFB stick follows: it's centered.
Pilot view key 1: Control helper shows trimmed position. Physical FFB stick follows.
Key 3 Chief Engineer view
Control helper shows stick centered and FFB stick follows: it's centered.
Pilot view key 1
Reset trim button.
Control helper shows trimmed position. Physical FFB stick follows.

Another workarround:

Key 3 Chief Engineer view
Reset trim button in Chief Engineer view

Pilot view key 1
Control helper shows stick centered and FFB stick follows: it's centered.

Hi @Pju

I tried to reproduce your issue step by step, from the ground, with my MS FFB2 stick.

FFB special option is set to Instant Trim.

  1. Key 1 : Pilot view.
  2. Trim right and aft like in hover: Control helper shows trimmed position. Physical FFB stick follows.
  3. Key 3 : Chief Engineer view: Control helper shows stick centered but FFB stick does not follow: it's still trimmed right and aft.
  4. Key 1 : Pilot view. Control helper shows trimmed position and FFB hasn't moved (right and aft).
  5. Key 3 : Chief Engineer view: Control helper shows stick centered but FFB stick does not follow: it's still trimmed right and aft.
  6. Key 1 : Pilot view.
  7. Reset trim button: Control helper tim position does not move (right and aft).
  8. Gently move the stick toward the center: Control helper shows trimmed position. Physical FFB stick follows.

And I don't see any difference if I stay in Pilot view the whole time.

Have you tried a DCS cleanup then a DCS repair yet?
