While setting up custom snapviews is quite easy and powerful, if you get it wrong and want to simply reset to the default values you have no option but to go file-digging-editing.

So a simpler way to reset an aircraft's view settings (including any custom snap-views made for that aircraft) would help greatly.

I simply backup the original file prior to editing it.

Same - I back-up my config folder religiously, but I've seen so many newcomers run into issues.

call me dumb ((again?) ... what is a snap view?

Its a way to customize the standard Cockpit View keys of an aircraft, typically binded to the numeric keypad keys. Snapviews behave the same but are binded to LeftWin + Num1 ... LeftWin + Num9 and they are defined by the user, for example here I have defined a snapview for the MiG-21 radar, to use on a radar training mission that I'm editing:

I just ran into this issue too. It would be a nice feature if snap view settings would just be saveable out of the simulation with key bindings.
