missing track file Mark points - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't

I haven't flown the Viper in a while, so it can be definitely something I'm doing wrong, but it seems totally random whether I can put a mark point on the ground from the HMCS and store it on steerpoints 25-30. 

My procedure is as follows:

1. Make sure I'm in NAV (or A/G)
2. Make HUD SOI
3. Click "Mark 7" on the ICP
4. TMS fwd long in order to get the marker in the HMCS
5. Then TMS fwd to lock and save the mark point. 

In 50% of the times, nothing happens when I hit TMS fwd. And when it fails it doesn't help to frenetically hit TMS fwd several times, it just won't "lock".

Is this a bug or is it something I am missing?

Did you ensure the MARK page was set to HUD?

Thats not HUD. Its on ICP.

@Tholozor was saying if you set the "HUD" on the ICP. With a dobber switch to the right (SEQ) on ICP, you can cycle through various sensors on aircraft.

 

If you have HUD as SOI, then on DED has to be set to *HUD* and you can see on the image above.

It works fine for me all the time. In case if its not working instantly (if you maybe press anything else in between), just press button 7 ones again. And then TMS UP.

Yes! Thanks. That is the solution at this moment. If TMS fwd don't work, it seems to work consistently if I dobber left to get back to the top menu, then do it over once more.
