Any way to display SA aircrafts altitude permanently?

Hey folks. Huge F16 fan , mostly because of its waypoint system being super simple, and the HSD giving you ALL aircrafts altitudes all the time.
I tried to fiddle with it, is it possible to do so or do you have to move the cursor yourself over each enemy to check the altitude?

CHeers!

No, in the Hornet you use the AZ/EL as a visual representation of the altitude stack and radar elevation.

By pressing STEP in the SA page, you cycle through the SA contacts and the altitude and speed can be continuously displayed. Only one contact at the time can be selected though.

That’s the same as using the TDC, it’s the same cursor.

It keeps a box around the contact with mach and altitude always displayed.
Iirc it also throws a * on it thru jhmcs. If my potato of a pc didn't constantly drop the step box it would be a great way to keep dibs on a specific track. Eg vip that you don't want to l&s

I wonder if this is really the case in the real F18C and what the reasons for this are. Or whether there could be a menu item so that Alt is always displayed on the SA.

This is basically one of the biggest disruptive factors in the F18 for me. In the F16, I have an immediate overview of the situation from 30 contacts on the SA page. In the F18 I have to click on everything or step through, hell that's an enormous amount of work and time waste .

The real Hornet heavily utilizes the AZ/EL and additional MSI properties. You're supposed to be able to just step through the MSI tracks regardless of whether your radar sees them at that moment or not. Additionally, the TDC on the SA should be "magnetized" and snap to any track or point making this whole thing a lot easier.

However, I still don't have an overview of all the airplanes and their altitude because I only see 1 altitude at a time.
