Hi there,

I struggle with the radio messages being displayed on-screen for only a few seconds.

English is not my first language and its quite technical... So i often need to pause and go to "message history" which obviously breaks the immersion.

Could the messages remain displayed longer, ideally until the player takes action, like Space bar or F10 or I/R?

I don't know if that's possible to change, but I recommend trying OpenKneeboard, especially when using VR. It will show all radio messages on your kneeboard. I have the same problem especially when the situation is tense, now I just have to look at my knee to see what was being talked about 😉

Unfortunately, that is no longer possible. It used to be like that before recent changes to radio messages by ED - after the change, the static effects on the radio are linked to the subtitle length and not the sound file length, and keeping the longer subtitles create a lot of noise. This is something we pointed out to ED many times but it was never fixed, forcing us to match the subtitle time to voice line...

Now there are two ways around it: Open Kneeboard is a great tool. You can also open the menu and look at the dialogue log to see everything displayed there while the game is paused.

Hope this helps!

Hello!!!😄 The problem is much bigger when you have to copy the coordinates, it is true that the function to repeat them is there and it is useful, but I think it is more useful in the right area with the text inside a black box, not in the subtitles. And when we have copied we can hit space to continue, like many other campaigns do. Or simply as Reflected Simulations does in the twin campaign, which is to put an image with the coordinates to copy.

Just an idea that would be great 😄

MANY THANKS GUYS

Ill give a try to Openkneeboad

True however that some other campains let you remove the messages manually which is very convenient

But many other campaigns don’t use realistic radio system, where you have to be on correct frequency to hear the radios. And I am never going to give up on that 🙂 but what I can do in the future is to add coordinates under F10 radio menu for instance..

Great! Never give up this radio procedure! It brings so much immersion to the missions. It it was one of the main things that guided me to use correct procedures overall.

+1 to adding coordinates to F10 radio menu. In my mind this is like simulating "i've writen them down on my kneeboard", since I cannot do that on VR easily, so it does not break inmersion 😛

Love your campaigns (specialy raven one(s)). My only "complain" so far with this one is having to go to messages history because I'm slow with the UFC and have no memory XD

I hear you @Darcaem and I might find a solution for this + will keep that in mind for future campaigns. Still, I would HIGHLY recommend that you start using OpenKneeboard which works amazingly well in VR - you will not want to go back once you start scribbling all the notes in VR...
