After the latest update on Wednesday, AG, NAV and INST modes no longer selectable.  Only AA works.

Is this the last nail in the coffin?

Anyone else seeing this?

I just want to confirm whether it's worth keeping this module installed on my system at this point.

Thanks.

Tried quick and slow cleans, uninstalls, re-installs and also installing Steam version and the SE and the problem still persists.  Master modes are stuck in AA.

Of course it doesn't help that when installing the Steam version it just copies the broken files over from the non-Steam version.

Guess i'm looking at complete uninstall and re-install of the non-Steam version! Great!

What do you mean by the part of your text that I highlighted? I have a Steam install and it simply installs from Steam, not from a non-Steam version. Sorry if I'm missing something obvious, but I don't catch your meaning. I have a non-Steam install that I use for the free trials, but my Steam install doesn't copy any files from that.

What I have noticed is that there is a "mode" of AA "Weapons mode cycle switch loop" that - maybe because I'm not that bright - does take a few switch hits to get out of. Maybe check that in your control settings and see what's what.

Not how it works. The files are not broken. It checks with the server which files you need, and if any file is corrupted. If the file exist in another install, it will use that one.

Totally waste of time. Perform a repair with Standalone versions, and an integrity check for Steam.

After a repair/integrity check. Rename your Saved Games folder and you will be back on a brand new vanilla installation. I assume the error is there somewhere. Maybe in your keybinds. A repair/integrity check will never touch Saved Games, hence why people always have these issues with mods that won't get repaired.

The Updater is VERY smart. It will get identical files from a Steam/Standalone installation if both exist, instead of re-downloading identical files. 😊

There are absolutely no differences between Standalone and Steam versions except for the Launchers and license checks. 😉

It's pretty early in the morning here for you to already be breaking my brain.  🤨

Not sure you have broken files. You can be stuck in A2A mode from switchology issues. Specifically weapons selection. Make sure that weapon selection switch on the throttle isn't in the aft position as that auto selects the A2A mode.

A track would help in letting us verify where all of your switches are at.

Guess you like to waste time of yours and ours either when you could have saved a short track and present a dcs.log a few days ago to get an answer in hours. It's probably what @Ivandrov says - you're stuck in AA because of Guns selected on Weapon Select Switch. Move to Sidewinder and you're free to select other modes.

Thread closed.  Problem was as suggested above, position of Weapon Control Switch on HOTAS Throttle Grip in rear SRM mode.

Found the answer on Razbam Discord prior to seeing most of the correct suggestions above.

Thanks for the help guys.  Much appreciated,
