DerRedMax Posted April 19 Posted April 19 I have been using the F1 english cockpit mod. As of the last update it is no longer working. Is this because of something ED changed or the Mirage files have changed? Anybody have a fix for this issue?
Draken35 Posted April 22 Posted April 22 @Japo32 sorry for the ping, but just in case you are unaware that the F1 English cockpit mod is broken and are able to do anything about it.
Mainstay Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Now im no lua expert but isnt this a simple fix in the lua files?

Japo32 Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Thanks for the feedback.. I am not an expert in Lua, so I guess it has to be something about it. So if someone can share with us...
Draken35 Posted April 24 Posted April 24 For what I read in another thread on the topic, it might be that the F1 is not reading the cockpit data from the files in the saved games livery folder... I guess we will have to wait for Aerges if that is indeed the case.
Japo32 Posted April 26 Posted April 26 (edited) Well... that is one of the reasons I stoped making mods for DCS. If the main developers don't give us support for work that we make for free, I won't spend a second more of my life in their products. I looked at the lua files generating new description.lua from model viewer and I see they are the exactly the same. No change also of the name model, so I guess is that something is blocking the access to saved games folder. Hope is a bug and nothing blocking it. But in any case, still there is no option to load custom cockpits in the extra options, as other aircrafts have. Edited April 26 by Japo32 1 1
Vibora Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Thank you for reporting this issue. Are we talking about the mod in the attached screenshot? If not, please refer to the one in question. Thanks. Roberto "Vibora" Seoane Alas Rojas [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Mainstay Posted April 28 Posted April 28 In my opinion it would be better if Aerges would implement a full English cockpit option themself. That way its secured in future updates and we can easily choose from dropdown box in special tab. 3
Japo32 Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Yes, that is the one. Of course I would also preffer an English cockpit support from every developer. That way I wouldn't need to make it! XD Still I would need to do the latest F1 model that needs to come out. But first lets hope @Vibora fixes the mod.

F1M > English cockpit all day long... tbh, I was only using the mod because it has a lot less shimmering with MSAA in VR, not because the actual language

They used a different method that I usually do. I am 3D artist making planes for XPlane.

I just wish I could get rid of that excessive aliasing in the black panels.
