So I mostly play MSFS but have been getting a little more familiar with DCS. I have a simple all-in-one joystick/throttle, but I wanted to get a separate throttle that mimics a real jet more.  I also want to get some brackets so I can attach the joystick and throttle lower down at a more natural height instead of just sitting on my desk. I have seen a few options on Amazon, but I'm not sure which one is the best. I just want to make sure whatever I get feels sturdy and is of good quality.

Any advice

Thanks, I will check it out. Just clarify, though I already know which throttle I am going to go with, I just wanted to find  a good bracket

You can probably build a stand yourself out of 2x4s or something similar. May not be as versatile as a Monstertech, but likely would be a lot cheaper.

honestly even if they did i wouldn't put a 130 dollar mounting solution with a 50$ joystick, its not worth it...  if you have a total of 180$ i'd get a 180 dollar stick and live with it on the table for now

Monstertech is very nice.
This mouse extension here is a great feature

Thanks, I will check them out. Do you know if they will work with this joystick? The base is a little large, and not sure how it connects to the bracket. I'm going to use this just for the joystick for now, but was looking at getting a seperate VKB throttle to add to the realism when flying. Plus, it has more buttons to help make things like targeting easier.

As far as I can tell they seem to have adapters for every type of device.

When I got back into DCS, I had a Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, and used Wheel Stand Pro as mounting solution.

While that company probably is more focussed on driving simulators, they also make stuff for flight sims and their setup is very flexible.

Monstertech is very good yes (I use it myself now) but as others have stated/implied things can get very expensive very quickly, and it doesn’t make any sense to have mounting solutions that are (far) more expensive than what you mount on them.

I used Wheel Stand Pro for years, and I was happy with it until I decided to upgrade my entire setup.

Interesting point, but at least in the US a typical mount from them is less than all but the cheapest sticks. And even a cheap stick needs a mount.

That depends on how serious one is with DCS. Looking for mounting solutions betrays a certain commitment already, and while using cheap joysticks is perfectly fine while you’re still figuring out if flight simulators are something you want to invest your time/resources into, something more durable/higher quality is probably better if you’re planning to stick with DCS in the long run.

Something simple such as a wooden stool works just fine as mount while you figure things out.

Like I said, all but the cheapest.

Let’s not be ghastly 😆 a keyboard tray also works. Anything that puts the stick at the right height. Unless you want shoulder surgery later…
