TU 154 - Russian passenger aircraft

Should be nice to have some civilian traffic in the air :D ... escort them and so on. Interested? I'm looking for some blue prints already.

Yes it is a very good idea!.

 

We have civilian ground units and a passenger ship, but no civilian aircraft - a TU-154 airliner would be perfect :D .

An225? Nice one too. What about Mrija with Buran? Very well known russian project. Have seen it live many years ago.

 

 

But the TU154 is clear. I'm looking for a good blueprint or sketches and GO GO GO ...

I should have a link to a site with an extensive archive to quite a lot of aircraft (especially russian ones) in black/white drawings with details (nice to use in 3DSMax when modeling). I'll dig it out and post it as soon as I get home from work (give or take two hours)

I doubt Lock On will support "neutral" coalitions anytime soon, but a Tu-154 could still be a nice addition. And if you're bored you might also consider an An-124 or C-5 afterwards... size has a beauty of its own ;) Would love to have those two behemoths available.

 

The An-225/Buran combination, well... not sure what to do with those in-game :)

As I read it, cmeliak was asking whether there is an interest in the Tu-154 - if so he would consider modelling it.

OK guys, I've no doubt to do it ... doesn't matter if it will be included in lockon or not. I find it as a very nice plane. I will start after i get a good documentation, already have some pictures. 50K polygons, all parts movable.np.

A bit late on my part, But I am so glad to hear someone planning on doing the Tu152. I had been dreaming of having LOMAC filled with civilian airliners flying their typical high density routes, packed with passengers. It really would add to the immersion, being able to fly through the crimean airspace and know you're sharing it with hundreds of civilian planes. It would make you think twice about what you lock and shoot at.

 

The Tu-152 is the strong workhorse of the Russian airline inventory, And it sure is a good choice. Being an airliner, it also should be alot easier to model and undertake. Well, i think models-wise, they already could've implemented some civilian aircraft .. E-3? Boeing 707 (or 720?), KC-10? DC-10..

Yea, Thats what I was thinking from the start.

 

I was asking if anyone could skin the KC-10 in a FedEx or Aeroflot Cargo Scheme. The KC-10 resembles the Dc-10 exactly, but with the addition with the boom. If we could skin the KC-10 as a civilian airliner, then all we would have to do is create routes spanning across Crimea, and set it without any task. It would just take off, fly to its destination, and land. Simple, effective, and very immersive!

well, civilian planes are nice to see and put down, but if you think about some "automated airlines" in a lock on, .... hmmmm i guess there is no such a processor on the market now. Otherwise you have to have really strange graphics setup eventually. but i thing tu154 will be nice to have. next week ... i have to finish other industrial project.
