zbysiek Posted June 2 Posted June 2 GBU-54s need to be re-programed manually in the INV page after loading the data from the DTC. I think we should be able to select the laser codes from the rearm menu, and they should transfer alongside other DTC data to the aircraft, just like GBU-12s and AKPWS do. Feel free to prove me wrong and tell me that i'm an utter idiot. GBU-54s: GBU-12s: 1

GBU-54s: GBU-12s: GBU-12's laser code has to be set on the bomb itself, while the code can be programmed via the aircraft into the GBU-54, so there is no need to select it via the arming menu. But I don't know if the code could be loaded into the DTC, if that is the case, it would be a good feature. We'll have to wait and see until ED finalised the DTC. (In which case would have been good to post it in the wishlist section and not the bugs and problem) Edited June 3 by razo+r

Good point, but setting the GBU-10/GBU-12 laser code via the inventory page DSMS -> INV still works, even in flight (unless that changed very recently?). So it makes little sense that it can be updated from the rearming menu, while GBU-54 laser codes can't.

I think there is still a lot of work to be done on this rearming menu/fuze option feature, though I know how it will end up, unfortunately....

The GBU-12s get their laser code loaded in that way automatically, if you didn't change your TGP code, you'll get a "LASER CODE" warning when selecting them and with autolase on.

Well, of course. There's currently no way that I'm aware of to preset the TGP to a designator laser code, so you definitely need to update that yourself if you changed the weapon in question to another code. However, that happens regardless of where you set the weapon's laser code (rearming menu or DSMS -> INV). None of these change the TGP laser code.

I meant that the GBU-12 get their appropriate laser codes loaded into the DSMS instead of defaulting to 1688, I see no reason why the LJDAMs shouldn't get the same treatment and allow us to change the initial laser code in the rearm menu.
