I should have saved a track of this but it was a 2 hour mission. #4 in Operation Cerberus North. I was trying to land at Incirlik and the Hornet would not lose speed. I was stuck at around 350kts with the speed brake, gear and flaps down doing break turns repeatedly over the field. I eventually smashed it into the runway and rode the brakes down to the end. Wild. I can’t imagine this was some sort of failure was it? I’ll have to see if it will repeat.

Was the throttle stuck, or could you move it to idle?

I didn’t look. My HOTAS throttle was at idle. I wonder if I had some sort of controller spike.

Will a Hornet actually do 350 kt with speedbrake, gear and flaps all deployed? If they actually were. At 350 kt, you are 100 kt over maximum gear and flaps deployment speed, so they may not have come out at all. I'd check your throttle via the Windows controllers thingy, and if that doesn't show anything obvious, just carry on until it happens again. If it does, check to see what is actually happening in-cockpit, and save the track.

The throttle works fine now and I think the green gear lights were displayed plus I could see the speed brake deployed. I’ll have to see if it repeats.

Going to be difficult to diagnose without a track replay. Not seen any issues with my sessions like that. Could it have been a controller issue, or double axis issue? any new devices plugged in recently?

Make use of the controls overlay. Any Input problem will likely show there. A double binding would make the indicator jittery or stuck and if the indicator moves properly, at least you know that the game engine recognizes your hardware inputs.

Gotta be some sort of crazy controller thing. I have like 180 hours in the Hornet and those controllers have been mapped since maybe 2018 🤷‍♂️
