Hardware, the base is ok, I don't have the MH-16 stick but there are multiple reports of hat switches popping out and people having to glue them. If you want concrete examples that are related to DCS: modules without full telemetry support : Phantom, Kiowa, Chinook, Corsair base is not using full power and range for the Direct Input effects, the force cuts off at around 90% axis with 10/16th of power VRS effect for helicopters is modeled so poorly everyone should keep it disabled. Active regardless of your IAS and pitch, just depends on your vertical speed, but activates both up and down. Heli telemetry effects in general feel not working as they should A lot of users reports frequent loss of effects - I've experienced it mostly in FC3 modules when alt-tabbing. Takes a moment before the effects are back. Options to adjust force curve are VERY poor, so regardless of what you set up, you end up with a stick being mushy in the center Interesting I had one given to me but not fired it up as of yet.
zcaa0g Posted June 30 Posted June 30 The scary thing is the base has been out for almost a year if not slightly longer and they still have those listed issues. Talk about slow development progress! I wish I could plant the guts of the VPForce base into the Moza base. 1
VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants Posted June 30 Posted June 30 Well, this could say for many things, after x many years and it has still listed issues, sound familiar? Cough, cough, cough, which does not mean anything at all... Again, I have both Moza and Rhino and each does things they are good at. I don't see why one would put one thing into another just to being yelled at "stealing". 1 1 I Fly, Therefore I Am. One cannot go around not saying "Thank you" every time these days, can't you? The Rhino is fugly, so I want it in the Moza AB9 body along with properly functioning firmware and software. I like aesthetics and functionality. 1
VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants Posted June 30 Posted June 30 Oh well, I guess we cannot have all the best things into one..there is always a tiny annoyance aka trade-off. 1 I Fly, Therefore I Am. Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted June 30 Posted June 30 That’s a bit harsh I think, but in the end what matters for FFB is the software, and the Rhino software is brilliant. I order from Virpil and it takes months. I order from VKB and it's about a week. As far as the VKB linear throttle, that is indeed vapor-ware. They did at least follow through on the space combat throttle handle. That's a start I guess. 1

Interestingly you can get the AB9 for about $670 in Norway now, without a grip and the clamp though.Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

In The Netherlands, you can now get it for 497 euro, which is $585, but keep in mind that is with 21% tax. It's 410 euro without tax, which is $482. And in my opinion, you are better off skipping the grip and getting a Virpil, certainly for what the MH16 costs. The Constellation Alpha is only slightly more expensive, but it is more featureful and better built. The big question mark with the MHG-grip is whether they improve the issues with the original grip. If they do, it can be a very appealing package at the right price.

Ordering abroad is not an option as that will mean shipping and 25% VAT.Grips I have, so that's why the AB9 is probably a better choice for me, as I wouldn't use the AB6 grip anyhow. The clamp is 50 bucks, but it fits everything that fits a Warthog, right? I have the original plate for it, which I screw to some sort of board. I don't use a desk. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Their base is already too soft in the middle and doesn't center properly. 1
Dogmanbird Posted July 2 Posted July 2 yeah i was guessing it might do that. How does it feel with the grip attached directly on the base? 1
