Seem like Moza is pumping more into the Flight sim industry .

Hope  Aapje will be pleased.

Hey man just posting some news. I too am not looking any smoke just adding information into my flight community.

You can run down the company punch holes in the start up companies rhetoric which will help inform others so it's all good.

Been with DCS since 2008 and I feel the more companies that pop up will only fuel innovation and help bring down prices.

Thanks for sharing! I'll be in attendance at FSExpo this year (hope to see some other DCS fans there as well) so I'll try to share some pictures/videos from the show floor if I can snag any.

Totally agree with you @rapid, the more the merrier in terms of competition in the market. In the end, enthusiasts like us benefit.

Well, I am rather critical of how Moza has a tendency to throw half-finished products onto the market, in particular on the software-side. That said, I like how they are committed, unlike Thrustmaster, who develop the occasional new product for simming, but fail to create a fully developed eco-system, even though that is the new meta. Upstarts like Moza are actually acting like a big company that can afford to create a breadth of products, while companies that ought to be capable of that, and definitely have the history and brand name, utterly fail to deliver.

I am also quite happy with my Moza racing wheel, but I only bought it once they sorted out their offering.

What I find attractive about the Moza AB9 is that they are making it into a multi-function product, which can be used both for racing and flight, which is very nice for those of us who do both.

Anyway, my advice in general would be to salivate over the new stuff all you want, but then remember that words are cheap, and actually delivering things to customers is hard, so you only know what you are actually getting for your money once regular people get the product and tell us what the actual strengths and weaknesses are. Buying anything before that is essentially just gambling with your money.

No arguments here sir.

Yeah, I got the mail too. Very intrigued by the 4.4 Nm AB6 base. Unfortunately we haven't been given a price, perhaps they'll announce that at FS Expo. If they shave off quite a bit of the price compared to the AB9, it may get very competitive with the top non-FFB bases.

I also wonder what the deal is with the new grip compared to the MH16 (which is not so good). Is it supposed to be a cheaper grip? Or a different use case? Not sure at first glance.

I took a further look at the grip, and it is plastic vs metal for the MH16, and is missing the brake lever, so it must be a cheaper grip.

Those are two rows of buttons (4 on each side) with RGB lighting. And they put two sliders on the front (unclear if they are encoders or axes).

That makes me think that they also have to do a refresh of the AB9 to add these features, since now the AB9 is a downgrade in some ways, which would be weird.

Going by the numbers would you not say that AB6 is the little Brother to the AB9?

AB6 = 6Nm PT while the AB9 is 12Nm PT. could be an entry level FFB?

Yes, of course. It's smaller too and almost certainly far lighter. Still too high for on desktop, but plenty people have cheap, weak desks, so it might be a better option for some people anyway.

Not yet, I'm still not entirely happy with the available products. But my interest means that I keep an eye on things, and I maintain a post with data for the available FFB bases on the IL-2 forum, mainly because it is helpful as reference material, when new things get released, or I want to verify some details.

And it will probably be absolutely perfect for rotor heads. If the price is right, they will make killing.
