Dauntless 7 Posted June 22 Posted June 22 Any damaged AI warbird, when considered "killed", will go into a left or right level turn at roughly 400 knots and will stay that way indefinitely, even when their engines are no longer operational. 1
Mud Posted June 22 Posted June 22 Yup, I have noticed the same in a mission with Ju-88's. Rhayvn Posted Tuesday at 07:53 AM Posted Tuesday at 07:53 AM Same, with multiple aircraft types. Current mission has at least 3 red and 4 blue aircraft doing those circles.
motoadve Posted Tuesday at 12:11 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:11 PM B17s and A 20s break formation and fly all over the place , was in 4YA PO server. A20 shot the tail, came off and kept flying
owen Posted Tuesday at 07:33 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:33 PM I've been playing the furball instant action mission in the F4U / marianas ww2 map. Several of the zeros (Fake Fw-190) ended up in this state. I was chasing one for ages before i realised. I have attached a track file that show that at the end of the fight, 3 of 12 enemy planes were circling in this state. magic-zombie-zero.trk
peachpossum Posted Wednesday at 10:43 AM Posted Wednesday at 10:43 AM (edited) yep - saw this behavior last night in a MP mission I hosted. JU-88s, Bf-109s, and Fw-190-A8s all exhibited this behavior once they were severely damaged. edit - I tried adding my track file but it was too large (73 MB), any suggestions beyond running the mission for a shorter time period? dcs.log Edited Wednesday at 10:52 AM by peachpossum attempt to add track file, add dsc.log Windows 11 Pro 64-bit i7-14700k 3.4 GHz, 64 GB DDR5-6000 MHz, Samsung 980 pro NVMe for DCS drive. peachpossum Posted Wednesday at 07:36 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:36 PM here is a track file & dcs.log that demonstrates the problem. I shot down 3 JU-88s, and the kill buffer awarded me the kills. Yet the three JU-88s went into a perpetual flat turn. This was a locally hosted MP mission.
