Recently I started flying on a server that forces cold starts and I noticed that GBU-38 & 54's won't ever align. If I fly on my normal groups servers and do a cold start same issue, but if I do a hot start they are aligned as soon as I spawn. Attached are 2 tracks one cold w/o alignment and one hot with immediate alignment.

Just did the quick mission cold start on the Iraq map and the 54's wouldn't align there either.

And how could they, when your jet never gets a semi-decent INS alignment?

Allow the alignment to finish and the Inertially Aided Munitions should be good to go as well.

As a general rule, if you can, record tracks in the Caucasus map. It's free, it's got a relatively small footprint and almost everyone has it. 😉

I don't currently have the Iraq map available.

Yeah I never have issues with the -38s when I do automated start. The only way to have issues is to remove the wheel chocks and move slightly. So yes I autostart, but I don't touch anything until it says it's complete, and that's from a cold start, and never had issues with the -38s at least, haven't used the -54s

That's strange, it did say Nav Rdy then I hit the Nav button. I did try again and did a fast align and everything worked so it must be something I'm doing wrong with a full alignment. Thanks for your assistance.

The A-10C is a fairly complicated and deeply simulated module.

In case you're following tutorials or checklists, dump whoever made them from your list of trusted sources and find someone who actually understands the aircraft.

DCS A-10C II Manual:

Cockpit Controls -> Embedded GPS/INS (EGI) Navigation System -> Control Display Unit (CDU) and Pages -> Standard Line Display Items

[...]
On the second line: Line 2 is normally blank and reserved for CDU system annunciations. The
following list shows messages you may receive:
• [...]
INS NAV RDY: Steady annunciation indicates degraded EGI INS navigation capability is available. Flashing annunciation indicates full EGI INS navigation capability is available. It will only clear when NAV is selected on the ALIGN page indicating that the system is now operational.

Its not done until NAV RDY is flashing. It takes 4 minutes. You'll get the solid NAV RDY around the 2 minute mark. If you've done it right the top right of the CDU will say D5/B1 once you switch over to NAV.
