I like this map very much hence my concern.

There's a thing, maybe only after the RAZBAM issue has been settled

It isn't actually made by Razbam. It was just licensed/published through Razbam. It's still receiving updates, and is made by more or less the same team that makes to Kola map, while now licensed/published through ORBX.

Cheers!

I am scared to this buy terrain b/c of Razbam's name (even if they are not making it but name is attached).  I do need dev to provide some clarification on support and growth.

Have any fixes been pushed since 2024 on this map?

Yes.  IIRC more than one.

I was checking the changelogs and I could be wrong on this - but this the last update on 12/24/24 on DCS log - DCS 2.9.11.4686

Anyway, I would be nice for the dev to chime on the forums and state that there are no problems with RB/DCS on this module.

Fair enough, maybe it was December that last was last update.  I was more thinking they've had at least a couple of updates since Razbam have announced they weren't doing any more.  Maps typically don't get the frequency of update that other modules do.  They have stated before it's not an issue and the fact that they have updated it long after Razbam stopped doing any updates is a pretty good indicator.

Scared of what? Because of a name? The map has not been pulled from the store. That means it was not in Razbam's power to do so, and should tell you everything.

Cheers!

Maybe it would be clearer is they name all sourcing correctly?
Yes, either the map team should come up with their own company name and be a single entity with both SA and Kola map under it, or the SA map should be transferred to ORBX to avoid confusion for the users.
Maybe one of the issues is the assets that came with the SA map. Who knows if their part of the map, or Razbam. We see now that other Razmab assets might also be removed from DCS like the Tarawa and the KC-130.

Yeah, it would be good to change the publisher name.

In any case, it's a great map. If you want wide open spaces and big mountains, it's fantastic.

Has the Razbam situation (which is gone into the ether) affected the South Atlantic map updates?

Can you be a little more exact please  ?

The biggest update this map received was after Razbam situation started with the inclusion of the new normal maps.
It transformed the map in a big way.

The developer continued working on it without Razbam as the later was involved as just as a publisher for the developer.

It is the same developer for the Kola map region.
