dresoccer4 Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Wondering since this is early access but, is the taxiing currently bugged? It does not behave as expected when applying left or right toe break pressure, especially when compared to the other warbirds which behave logically. Is this just a skills issue on my part or if taxiing a work in progress? null 1 Acer Predator Triton 700 || i7-7700HQ || 512GB SSD || 32GB RAM || GTX1080 Max-Q || FFB II and Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle || All DCS Modules
Tzigy Posted July 5 Posted July 5 I would double check your bindings (reverse, double binding etc); no issues here... TM Warthog MFG TIR5 GT Omega Pro/ButKickerx1/WheelStandPro Playseat/ButKickerx2

DrDetroit Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Yea, taxiing is a mess. Toe braking is the only way I can get down the taxiway. The rudder steering seems very unpredictable; it kinda works, then doesn’t. 1

carbolicus Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Make sure the tail wheel is unlocked for taxiing, otherwise you’ll get nowhere! It’s always locked when you start a mission on the runway. I’ve had no issues with taxiing (not to say it doesn’t need some tweaking perhaps). 1

Stevecat Posted July 9 Posted July 9 I toe brake successfully and have not had a problem with Taxi yet. However the toe brakes really bind hard and fast. Seems like they need to loosen up a bit.
Spidey002 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I'm having the same issue on the Marianas map. It seems like if there's any wind, the Corsair wants to taxi into the wind and won't let me turn past a certain degree. Made it impossible to taxi back to the rear of the carrier to take off again.
samolyet Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Just tonight I have had the same issue. I did the single mission "Ferry Flight" right after I got the plane and had zero problems taxiing with differential brakes and tail wheel unlocked. But the differential brakes work for about 30 seconds and then it just keeps veering incredibly frustratingly to the right. I have all the other prop warbirds and have no other such problems. i7-8086K, ASUS Prime Z370-A MB, G Skill TridentZ 64 GB DDR4 3733, Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme RTX 2080Ti

To be fair, you probably wouldn't taxi like that on a carrier in the first place. Aircraft would be moved to the launch positions by the flight crews.

seabat Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I dropped wind speed on the Mariana WW2 map down to 4 knots and was able to taxi fine on land. Have not moved wind speed up in increments to see if there is a "Not gonna happen" wind speed other than the 10 knts. Ran into the same issue using the Nevada map, no turn into or away from the wind at 10 knts. seabat
