tn_prvteye Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Is the ABRIS map supposed to update using INS if GNSS isn't available? Because right now it isn't. However, I always cheat and use No alignment or fix-taking needed...so maybe that's the issue? Or does it absolutely require a GPS signal to function?

In October 2011, the full orbital constellation of 24 satellites was restored, enabling full global coverage Cheers.
Akiazusa Posted August 7 Posted August 7 (edited) It works like a more advanced NS430,so GNSS is required,it talk and exchange some data from some aircraft systems, but mainly datalink and combat stuff, sadly I guess INS position is not one of them. The best thing u can do is set ABRIS heading from true to mag in the option page,so it still shows ur heading on it. correction:ABRIS true heading is from Doppler Nav System, doesn't require GNSS,if DNS fails it will revert using flight gyro(HSI heading) Edited August 28 by Akiazusa 1 Are you going to Scarborough Fair?
Kang Posted August 7 Posted August 7 It's a bit of a speculative point, seeing how the Ka-50 entered service only in 1995. 1
