carss Posted Monday at 07:20 PM Posted Monday at 07:20 PM In this day and age since we have such advancements ChatGPT and other AI systems, do you think we can implement a dynamic in game radio comm system? This thing can communicate with you via VOIP or even preselected commands from the radio menu somewhat similar to the Overlord AI we once had but much more realistic and dynamic. You can have them be on their appropriate frequencies and based on ground, tower, TRACON or ARTCC. They can even create dynamic ATIS, AWOS functions based on the weather and conditions, have appropriate static sound effects and even regional accents based on which map it is, etc? Here's an example... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Planes: FC3, P-51, F-86, F-5E, Mirage 2000, F/A-18, F-14, F-16, Mig-19P :joystick: ED pls gib A-4 and F-4
upyr1 Posted Monday at 09:08 PM Posted Monday at 09:08 PM This would be awesome especially if we could add voices. 1
TBarina Posted Monday at 10:33 PM Posted Monday at 10:33 PM Are you using VAICOM community software? There is similar functionality in there. Ryzen 7 5800X3D, MSI RTX 4090, 64GB DRAM, 2 x 1TB SSD, Triple Monitor 1920x1080p, Win11-Home

See BeyondATC for another sim. https://www.beyondatc.net/features For actual ATC work there needs to be a system inside DCS and that ED needs to code/overhaul, which they are doing as per previous newsletters throughout the years. It is a bit meaningless to have audio interaction with an AI and no sim reaction to that, like AI planes obeying to ATC and the ATC managing actual traffic (to be fair, they do a bit) among other many things. SharpeXB Posted Monday at 11:17 PM Posted Monday at 11:17 PM I wouldn’t expect this for free in DCS as it’s a paid subscription model in those other add-ons. But it’s cool. i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
OmasRachE Posted Tuesday at 09:29 AM Posted Tuesday at 09:29 AM I would buy! I have just wished for the same the other day. That would be a gamechanger! 1
twistking Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Good solution would perhaps be for ED to develop the framework and provide a very basic scripted or semi-scripted "agent" that hooks into it, with the option for users to hook up their own LLM agents of choice. These would still follow the ground rules of the scripted system but would allow more flavour, better LLM based voice etc. This would solve the problem of ED not needing to provide the processing power for a LLM. A scripted underlying framework that defines some ground rules would also prevent the optional LLM agents to hallucinate things that cannot translate to DCS runtime. But generally i agree. LLM for all interaction with AI would be a great addition. Would also make multi-crew aircraft a joy to fly in singleplayer... My improved* wishlist after a decade with DCS *now with 17% more wishes compared to the original
