I preferred prior to this update when you could angle them to look behind you and not just skewed views of my own face.  🙂

Ooh I didn’t realize you can’t tilt them anymore. Yes, that was cool.  Didn’t play with the tilt today. I did notice the new face, and liked it for immersion, but when I turned off the pilot body, I was surprised to still see the face in the mirrors.  Wish that was linked to the pilot body show/hide.

You can still tilt them. Their FoV was weird before.

The top mirror isn't too bad. The problem is the side mirrors, especially in VR where you likely have to turn your head to see them properly. The pilot's head moves too much, and even with small movements he leans way out into the mirror and blocks the view.

Yeah but the players head is quite sluggish, so there is a split second were you can see the mirror image clearly if you make fast head movements. But please consult your spine doktor first, if you are over 40 years old. 😂

Angling the mirrors does not change the reflection angle.  That's the problem.  It just makes them appear to be thinner or wider.  It is definitely broken.

You can actually adjust them normally but only downwards for the top one and inwards for the side mirrors.  But angle them outwards and they stop changing the point of view at artificial points.

Yeah this is my experience now. Before this update I could make them look where I needed.  Now they stay looking basically the same direction and mostly it's at my face, which is annoying/distracting when the pilot avatar moves.

Maybe you all should learn to love the Mirrors after all it is a very important thing the TEAM has been working on for us !

Dont worry about the Deactivated Zombie Trains flying around over the Super Carrier and out to Sea just look in the Mirror smile and chill out.

Selfie sticks and 3D printable Man in the Mirror Masks available soon in the store !

Put 'em back the way they were WITHOUT the pilot. The reflection looks very cartoonish.

I totally agree. And not only the reflection looks very cartoonish,

but the constant movement of the "pilot"on the reflection is very distracting!

Also in my opinion it was WAY BETTER BEFORE. please M3 revert it back!

Or alternatively, just PLEASE tell us which files / settings .lua .DDS.. etc are responsible,

so that we can ourselves revert it. I have tried to find them myself to no avail.... THANKS!

The FOV before was wrong, AND it made things in the mirror so small as to be practically useless.

All that needs to be fixed is the mirror angle, and toning down pilot movements so they're 1:1 with the player and he's not leaning way the hell out over the side when you turn your head an inch or two.

I could set and save the default front view FOV just fine for my taste.,as other snap views.

If there is a way to get read of the pilot I 'd be more than happy.

I have to agree that the new pilot in the mirrors is goofy looking, and in VR at least, has angle and latency issues. Would be nice to be able to turn it off.

I just watched a stream, and saw this (screenshot from discord stream).....It seems that the new aspect ratio (in the mainpanelinit.lua) wasn't uploaded to ED's servers.
We'll get this rectified.

Also, this isn't texture related.  ED's core programming for mirror rendering doesn't have everything rendering, unlike what is seen through the canopy glass.  This is to save on performance.  That is out of our control.

What's seen in the reflection is the external model pilot and cockpit, so the quality will be less too.
Visibility was corrected, according to ED's approach.
The pilot automatically moving is also out of our control.

Now....this it what people should be seeing
