celestHawk Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Hello, Whenever I try to move the FLAP switch either 'Takeoff from parking hot' or 'Takeoff from runway' I must 'push' the switch with mouse cursor and then I'm able to actuate the switch with a key bind 'F' or controller. It is not speed related, I checked the manual once again and is not starting to work before pressing it with the mouse. My guess is that most of the time we start it on the ramp cold and we must switch it to AUTO position in order to perform the FLCS test on surfaces that's is stayed unnoticed or am I missing something? ED Team BIGNEWY Posted August 26 ED Team Posted August 26 Hi, do you have any key assigned to the flaps on his HOTAS/Joystick? If so, can you actuate the flaps via these key binds? thank you Forum rules - DCS Crashing? They both work only after I 'physically' press the switch in cockpit with the mouse. Just checked once again - 'Cold and Dark' missions as well with 'Free Flight' for F/A-18 the switch is movable with a key bind from keyboard ('F' key) and controller. Missions - 'Ready on the Ramp' as well 'Takeoff from runway' in Mission Editor - the switch is active after mouse click! He was just trying to help you, no need to be rude. a repair does not take 2 days, it just check every file of your dcs install looking for any missing or non-correct files, and re-downloads only those files. moving the input folder of your aircraft is just a way to force dcs to return to a default control bindings status, while keeping the ability to return to your prior config just by moving the folder back. the dcs.log file provides a lot of data about your dcs which can help diagnose the problem. I fully understand why they need me to do it, I don't feel like it to run an integrity check on my day off just to proof that I have an issue running the most expensive flight simulator on the planet. So yeah, not gonna happens.
