Hi. Just to let you know. The nvidia 5080 is awesome. I get over 140 fps with all settings on high at 4k

Very happy with the gpu.

i have 3090 and i get 120 FPS with my GPU at 99%, how come

All those numbers are completely pointless, unless providing a VERY specific scene + settings. A trackfile in the best case.

I won't specify my GPU (cause it is irrelevant) but I can easily have the FPS fluctuate between 160 and 80 in the same mission, a split second apart, depending on where I look.

Better phrasing: Judging GPU performance and comparing fps-performance of different GPUs is only useful, when done with controlled parameters, like scene and GFX settings. Throwing anecdotic numbers around tells nothing!

Hi. So I figured out how to measure the fps correctly. I'm getting around 330 fps. Nvidia 5080.

In the option screen it has something called fps limiter. What does that do?

What should I type in?

Are you playing in 1080p?

Go 4K and increase the GFX settings. Yes, you can get 330 fps (even though DCS can start to glitch when approaching 300 from my observations), but there is absolutely no point to it.
Cap it at 120 (or maybe the default 180) and be happy. Every headroom beyond that is better invested in resolution and visual fidelity.

And, risking to repeat myself, those number are meaningless, unless you specify the scenery and your settings.

If so, you are certainly not getting 330 fps. Check if your telemetry is working properly.

Just for reference, a 4090, which is about 20% faster than a 5080, makes about 120ish fps with full GFX and DLSS to quality.

(*which still depends very much on the specific scene you're looking at....)

Yeah I get about 120 FPS at the most using a 4090 and being GPU limited. Using 4K and max setting and 4x MSAA. Maps like CW Germany will be lower.

m1tp2king could be just trolling... or his english skills are very limited.

Best way to compare apples to appples is load the same mission with the same settings take a screen shot of the ingame FPS graph. Also very important to have the same FOV and dont pan the view.

For me I like to use K50III convoy hunt mission aftrer the mission starts I leave the standart FOV and just turn the Shkval on.... I bet 5080 4080 4090 5090 are all <90 fps my 7900xtx barely makes 60fps 4x MSAA 4k.

yeah, I‘m aware.

But either way, the only way to fight misinformation is with proper facts.
