G21pilot Posted Wednesday at 05:49 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:49 PM The CF-18 Hornet carries the ATP both on the cheek (Since 2011) and the centre station. Any chance we could see this in a future update? Cheers! 1
Solution Weasel Posted Wednesday at 06:50 PM Solution Posted Wednesday at 06:50 PM No, because our Hornet is a USN Hornet and they don‘t carry the ATP, only the ATFLIR pod.
G21pilot Posted Wednesday at 07:56 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 07:56 PM … and the Lightning pod. The question was meant to be directed to ED. Sorry if that wasn’t clear in the OP. Lockheed Martin Quote Currently, Sniper ATP flies on both the Kuwait F/A-18C/D and Canadian CF-18 Hornets. As the Kuwait Air Force transitions to the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, they will benefit by receiving the new capabilities that the latest Sniper ATP configuration provides to the Super Hornet fleet. There are currently more than 27 countries and 15 different types of aircraft operating with the platform-agnostic Sniper ATP. ~ Lockheed Martin 1
AdrianL Posted Wednesday at 08:05 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:05 PM (edited) The Hornet in game is from around the 2007 time frame. ED have already stated in multiple places it will not be getting the ATP For example, - https://forum.dcs.world/topic/314029-anaaq-33-advanced-targeting-pod-discussion/page/7/#findComment-5673710 - And in the F-16 ATP video from Wags, look at Note 3 in the description Edited Wednesday at 08:08 PM by AdrianL 1
G21pilot Posted Wednesday at 08:35 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 08:35 PM OK thanks. That’s a lot more informative than the first response. Still if this is a “wish list” I’d like this to be counted as a vote for it. 1

Some Marine squadrons are still flying the C/D. The pod is called the ATFLIR... Advanced Targeting FLIR. It replaced the old TFLIR... We used to repair the legacy TFLIR at Boeing's Avionics Repair Facility at NAS Lemoore, but lost the contract for it when the ATFLIR came out. And never got the new contract for the updated version. The ARF is still there repairing RADAR, (65, 73) FCES, (RPYC), FIRAMS (SDC, IFEI), HSD, UFC, CLIPs, BADSA,......... Not sure how much longer the Marines will fly the C/D. The ARF has been there since 1982, when I was first stationed there in the Navy. I retired in June 2021 from the ARF. Edited Thursday at 01:53 AM by _Hoss Sempre Fortis
Muchocracker Posted Thursday at 02:31 AM Posted Thursday at 02:31 AM I'm talking about LITENING, not ATFLIR.

By now, new features such as the one you asked for won't be added to the jet, at least not for free.
