nickos86 Posted Wednesday at 07:38 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:38 PM Hi, In VR the new visor is extremely annoying and causing nausea because it lags just a tiny bit while being in the peripheral vision. The shading effect is great though! 2
Xtorris Posted Wednesday at 09:57 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:57 PM (edited) At least give us an option similar, to the show/hide Pilot Body. I had the same experience, exited the game, and promptly edited the visor file, to make the lens fully transparent. Edited Wednesday at 09:58 PM by Xtorris 1
Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted Wednesday at 10:01 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:01 PM To not show the borders? You mean when it’s flipped up? I’m pretty sure that IRL you’d see the borders too, looking at what it looks like in external view. 1 Spoiler Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 96GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo DDR5-6000 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 990Pro 4TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero VPC MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with Z-extension | VPC CM3 throttle | VPC CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | VPC R1-Falcon pedals with damper | Pro Flight Trainer Puma OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings Win11 Pro 24H2 - VBS/HAGS/Game Mode ON
Gryzor Posted Wednesday at 10:16 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:16 PM please dont show the helmet borders or give us an option! like F-15E or M-2000C visor effect, which is SUPERB. In addition it degrades performance in VR nearly about 1 ms MORE.... 20 minutes ago, Xtorris said: At least give us an option similar, to the show/hide Pilot Body. szymixzmb Posted yesterday at 12:07 AM Posted yesterday at 12:07 AM I am very happy with the current solution but if somebody wants an option I am fine with it if it's not changing the current one 2
Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted yesterday at 05:52 AM Posted yesterday at 05:52 AM Yes the current implementation is brilliant, just like in the Mirage F1 and new MiG-29, unlike the (better than nothing but fake) effects other modules with visors use (Mirage 2000, F-15E, MiG-21, OH-58). It’s what the community has been asking for for the last 7 years 1 Spoiler Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 96GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo DDR5-6000 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 990Pro 4TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero VPC MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with Z-extension | VPC CM3 throttle | VPC CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | VPC R1-Falcon pedals with damper | Pro Flight Trainer Puma OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings Win11 Pro 24H2 - VBS/HAGS/Game Mode ON
Linx Posted yesterday at 08:50 AM Posted yesterday at 08:50 AM (edited) Yes, please give an option to hide it. It is nauseating in VR 10 hours ago, Xtorris said: At least give us an option similar, to the show/hide Pilot Body. I didn't ask to completely remove the current implementation. For some the current implementation in VR makes the flight very unpleasant. Nothing to do with real life or whatever. PC and VR got limitations. 1

But the default pilot model is using the dark one. 3 hours ago, Linx said: It is nauseating in VR How so? And which gamma are you using? For me, it is nauseating to *not* have it in VR, if you're using the default gamma 2.2. PC and VR got limitations. I completely support this request. For many VR users, the new visor borders cause discomfort, nausea, and even vomiting after a short period of use. This is not a matter of realism or personal preference — it’s a health and accessibility issue, and should therefore be treated as a priority. Please make it optional, just like the “Show Pilot Body” option. Players shouldn’t have to modify game files to protect their well-being.
