Camp Bondsteel

Hi! Camp Bondsteel was used by US operations for many years, I know it doesn't have an airstrip/runway, but it had plenty of helipads! Also, I don't know the name of it, but there was also a very small military base East of Gjilan - I noted it in the pictures attached. Some guy I met there said it was heavily used by the Rangers in the 1990's. Helicopters used the stadium to land so I know if it had any official helipads from my knowledge. I actually slept in a guard tower there one night on a training exercise in 2010.

Lucky you, I trained for Bosnia- Never went. Trained for Kosovo, never went. I would have liked to experience the Balkans on the ground, but I guess this map is the closest I can get.

It's going to be some time, and I preferred it on the US Army's dime anyway. I mean yeah it's peaceful now, but when you do train ups to go somewhere, you sorta expect to go, but I got you.
