Lixma 06 Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Many building textures remain low detail until very close to the player. 3
MAXsenna Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Yup! Overall as people's systems gets better, we should be able to have a further draw distance. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk 1
draconus Posted November 16 Posted November 16 There's LOD factor slider in DCS options / system tab. 2 Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 MiG-29A F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria

draconus Posted November 16 Posted November 16 What about AF? Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 MiG-29A F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria

Czar Posted November 16 Posted November 16 (edited) This is "Scenery Details Factor". Put it at maximum or 0.8 minimum. LOD switch slider is for something else. Scenery Details also blurs the textures when the scenery assets are reduced in quality. If changing SDF value does't fix it. Something in the map code is making this. Seems severely too close the LOD changes, indeed. On 11/14/2025 at 8:15 PM, MAXsenna said: Yup! Overall as people's systems gets better, we should be able to have a further draw distance. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk This seems regardless of system. It is not typical for DCS to do this at that close of range. Even in 2014. Looks like a bug if all gfx options are set correctly. Lixma 06 Posted November 16 Author Posted November 16 (edited) It's not Scenery Details, it's not AF, it's not texture settings or any of that. If it was I'd expect ALL textures to be blurry but that's not the case. Watch these buildings in the video... And as can be seen here different buildings are blurry seemingly regardless of distance from player. Edited November 16 by Lixma 06 4
