Reflected Posted November 15 Posted November 15 I got a new laptop, and the rest of the hardware I use is the same. I have 4 WinWing controllers plugged into an Ornico powered USB HUB. It worked on my old laptop, but on my new one I get 1 second disconnects along with 'TrackIR device unplugged/plugged" This is really annoying, I can't imagine the hardware is at fault here, as it worked the previous day. - I updated all USB drivers and BIOS - I disabled USB sleep in the power settings - I unchecked the "allow windows to disconnect this device to save power" in the device manager. Slippa Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Iāll have to watch this one, I have the same thing happening to me. last night I was flying in formation just coming out of a loop and I heard the dreaded bleeps of the usbs unplugging and connecting again. Not funny when youāre flying and have every peripheral going through the hub. Iāve had this going on at random times for years. Iāve tried all the same things youāve listed Reflected and even thought Iād fixed it after a full windows re-installation but no. Bleep bleep it goes every now and then regardless.Ā Iām putting it down to the hub. Iāve tried a couple. The one Iām using now is powered and switchable so I can isolate anything as and when I want. Comes in handy when itās just the trackIR that plays up. I can flick the switch to reset it without having to come out of DCS but Iāve yet to stop it happening. good luck with it.
silverdevil Posted November 15 Posted November 15 @ReflectedĀ and @SlippaĀ - do you have hotplug in options disabled? please share your DCS.log. these disconnects will be recorded in there. also i found that setting my windows power profile to ultimate will nip the sleepy devices in the bud. kind of like a dog and sheep Ā 2 AKA_SilverDevilĀ Join AKA Wardogs Email AddressĀ My YouTube āThe MIGS came up, the MIGS were aggressive, we tangled, they lost.ā - Robin OldsĀ - An American fighter pilot. rob10 Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Do you actually have TIR?Ā I remember seeing this years ago with people who didn't have TIR but were getting this.Ā I can't remember what the final solution was though.
scommander2 Posted November 15 Posted November 15 How about disabling the power management service completely just for testing? Reflected Posted November 15 Author Posted November 15 OK I did all sorts of clicking, updating drivers, removing one USB from the HUB and to another slot, and now it seems OK. Not sure what did it. If it happens again I'll post the log. Should I disable hotplugging? FacebookĀ Ā Instagram Ā YouTubeĀ Ā Discord
