Hi Fudd, just had a fly in the new mission today

Some small things, mainly typos and a bit of possible incorrect info for the redfor briefing...it says "all areas east of the units...." shouldn't it be west?

Also, one other thing, i had an issue for a time rejoining the server after i left it, i couldn't select a player slot in the flight list. But after a few minutes it was fine again.

Hi me again :D

I had a small problem repairing at the FARP at wpt 1 after my laser burnt out, are all the correct assets in place so this is possible?

Just incase you missed something Fudd, i'll offer up this bit of info :)

"Notes regarding airbase and FARP ground vehicle support equipment

At Forward Arming and Refueling Points (FARP)s, ground equipment resources are tracked to determine the level of support that can be provided to the player. This can include electrical power, radio communications, fuel, and weapons for both AI helicopters and the player. The ground equipment units must be placed within a 150 meters radius from the center of the FARP. The units required vary between eastern and western

Eastern forces:

CP SKP-11 command post, FARP command post for radio communications

GPU APA-50 or GPU APA-80 for electrical power

ATMZ-5, ATZ-10, Transport URAL-375 or FARP Fuel Depot for refueling

URAL-375 transport or FARP Ammo Dump for rearming

UAZ-469, URAL-4320-31, URAL-4320T, ZIL-131 KUNG, KAMAZ, and FARP TENT for aircraft repair. Repairs take 3 minutes after rotors stop.

Western forces:

M1025 HMMWV APC for radio communications

M818 transport for electrical power

M978 HEMTT tanker for refueling

M818 transport for rearming

M818 and FARP TENT for aircraft repair. Repairs take 3 minutes after rotors stop.

If any of the above units are absent or destroyed, the assigned resource will be unavailable.

Note: In case a FARP is attacked and all units are destroyed, you may wish to set up a trigger to move new units within 150 meters of the destroyed base to provide support functions. For airfields, the above vehicles are not required, but if the control tower is destroyed, radio communications will not resume until a M1025 or CP SKP-11 command vehicle is brought into the area. The rearm, refuel, and electric power at the airfields do not depend on vehicles. Again though, the radio communications to request these depend on the tower (the tower must not be destroyed). If the tower is destroyed, the communications can be restored with either the SKP-11 for the red side or the HMMVW M1025 for the blue side. To prepare for such an event, you can set the mission up so that if the tower is destroyed a mobile command vehicle will be dispatched to the airbase."

You are loosing a lot of space for informations.

You can cut off all the useless stuff of the picture.

The targetarea will get the focus and the icons are bigger.

Load times for clients will probably be less also.

Thanks Mustang for the information. I'll make the necessary edits on Saturday.

Yesterday I played the mission.

I joined the red coalition.

I arrived at the friendly FARP and was locked by a laser.

Is there a Gepard or something? (Lock at >10Km, Shoot at <4Km)

No enemy in the closed area....

You are not able to spot this enemy.

And while you are locked you can't differ between "is this a enemy near by or is this the Gepard in 10Km?".

So you can't count on your LWR. This makes the mission very difficult.

The FARP is very close to the FEBA, so it is a hostile and dangerous place. The mission is meant to be challenging in the aspect that if you are near the front lines you better keep your head out of the pit.

Also there are number enemy positions close to the FARP, within less than 7km so it could be a number of things lasing you.

I know. We found the enemys near by. But this was not the enemy who lasered us the whole time. Is there a Gepard on airfield?

Gepards are very special. They lock you at about 10-15Km.

So you get a alert and become panic because you think there is a enemy near by.

Till you get locked by the Gepard you can't differ if the lock is by the Gepard or is it by a enemy near by. So you can't trust on your laserwarning.... so you don't know the exact position of the enemys.

There are no marks on the ABRIS who could tell you the position of the enemys.

The picture in the briefing is to big, so you can't discover the icons exactly.

The picture is very important. Please make a detailed screenshot and cut off all the useless things.

You're not supposed to know the exact position of the enemy. The map provided is just of friendly units and to show you where the FEBA is.

There are no Gepards in game.
