*performing nav position fix.

I took a look at this isue.

It is very intricate because I have to add ca. 4-5 Nav-points for EVERY Ka-50 (90-150 Nav-points).

Is it important? Anyone else want to train/teach it?

I'd sure like to hear other weigh in on this.... i would like to teach/ train on it as i see it being a common element of DCS modules moving forth. I think to many people navigate by Visual rather than instruments - hence my interest in a low visibility mission... perhaps thats unrealistic - maybe the Ka-50 would simply be grounded in dense fog?

Sorry, I forgot to cancle my posting. It was wrong. I only can insert max 4 fixpoints for every Ka-50. Meanwhile the fixpoints are added and working.

The first route have 2 fixpoints, the second route 3 and the last route 4.

i have been seeing some interest floating in the forums around understanding the ADF/NDB functions and how to use them. Evilbivol was going to check and see if ships could broadcast beacons... I still think it would be a great training exercise...

a second Q - mind if i add your training pack to the Wiki pages I keep working on?? They are a good base set every noob should have installed.

One week is past. Any wishes for V1.1?

Maybe a mission tutorial on how to evade sam launches. Although A track file with sound instructions would suffice. I’m always getting nailed by Sam’s. I’m too eager to get close inside the action zone. But they should be way to go on evasive manoeuvre without having to regress and hold back...

Anyhow this is how much I know. Basically nothing, natta, absolument rien. LOL :D

Thanks for the continued contributions of your missions. They are awesome.

Cheers

@ dooom: What do you need for the ADF/NDB functions? You can't practice in the freeflight?

Feel free to add it to your wiki. ;)

@ TheMoose: A tutorial would go beyond the score. In this case I have to write a tutorial for EVERYTHING you can practice in the missions....

This is the job of the BlackShark-manual and the squardron-leader who operate the education :)

How you can evade sam launches? You wrote it: You are too eager to get inside the action. If you get locked, you better turn and hide behind the next hill. ;) This is all a kind of experiences. There is no way without regress and hold back. This is a realistic simulation. No arcade-game ;)

A track file with sound instructions? How can you add sound instructions into a track file? Do you mean a commented video? Hm... Maybe I'm a good mission builder but I'm not a good teacher and I don't know everything. In my point of view there are more experienced people out there.

First, Thanks very much for your training missions. They are soon to come in very handy helping a few of my friends learn how to fly online. I tested out the free flight and free flight bad weather missions the other night and I kept running into an issue. Perhaps someone could enlighten the rookie pilot (me)?

In the mission you start with nothing, so I contact maintenance (f10) and request fuel / rearm. Once I receive the "fuel / rearm complete" from them, I begin my startup sequence. My issue is, when I'm done and ready to taxi or lift off, the maintenance crew keeps shouting "Hey - What are you doing".

Can someone tell me what I'm missing? At first I thought it was because I had forgotten to turn off my external electric connection, but even when i start up with the onboard batteries only, I still get that message.

Cheers!

I believe that if you have switched your comms to the ground channel, your ground crewman remains plugged in to your KA-50 until you retune your selector. He does not like you taking off with him still attached!

Now that would be a graphic that would be amusing to see modeled. :D

Sorry guys, I have to wait for a bugfix or a workarround of this problem:

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=54178

Once the bugfix is released I will release a new version of the trainingpack.
